While I still believe CFP of 24 teams is best format and will cover the developing news around the future format…PATC will no longer be publicly supporting this measure. 24 team CFP would most help exactly those who are supporting government takeover of college sports.

There’s no one to blame except Sorsby. Cincinnati and Indiana handled it the right way. Texas Tech decided to cause a mess with it. That’s all

Brendan Sorsby is filing a motion to dismiss his case against the NCAA with prejudice Texas Tech told Sorsby that in spite of the injunction, he would not be allowed to play this season for Red Raiders Cody Campbell told @KLBKNews that TTU had to make best decision for school

NEW: Brendan Sorsby's agent, Ron Slavin, claims Cincinnati knew about the gambling addiction and took no action: “If anybody should be questioned or catching heat, it should be Cincinnati. Because they knew for two years and never said anything or didn’t do anything about it. That’s the part of the story that gets lost.” (via @1053thefan) on3.com/news/brendan-s…

Stop it. Unless there was really piss poor communication between Tech and Sorsby, why did he suddenly decide to leave for the NFL if there was already an understanding that he might not play? Tech could’ve made this explicitly clear instead of going with the “well, maybe he won’t…” stuff, but they didn’t. All of this only makes sense if Sorsby believed that he would play and Tech was planning to play him (despite their PR efforts) with Tech suddenly deciding that none of this was worth it.

🌵Tech fans- “ We stood by the Kid” 🌵Cody Campbell- “We will stand by the kid” 🌵 22min video- “we will get the kid the help he needs because we have integrity” 🫡 Tech after the Big 12 filed in Fed court - “See ya kid, get the Fook out” #TexasTech #TTU

It’s hard to get the SEC and Big Ten to agree on anything… But these two powerful conferences agree that a federal takeover of college sports is NOT the answer.

Totally on board with a full investigation into what Cincy did or didn't know. Completely warranted. It's a good move from his agent to deflect here, but also, if anybody should be questioned or catching heat, it's his client.

Uh yeah, important context: Cincinnati is suing Sorsby for $1m in federal court for breach of contract. Slavin wants to make Cincinnati look bad here.

Cincinnati statement to @On3: "We will reiterate what we have said before. All of our student-athletes receive extensive gambling education multiple times throughout the year, and we would never knowingly play an athlete who violated NCAA sports wagering regulations. If we ever became aware of impermissible wagering, we would report to the NCAA and comply with sanctions." on3.com/news/brendan-s…

NEW: Clemson's Dabo Swinney to @Clowfb on the Ole Miss tampering allegations involving Pete Golding and LB Luke Ferrelli: "I’m not trying to get anybody in trouble. It’s not about a certain player or anything like that. It’s more: Can we do this? Is this allowed? Can an NFL team right now call up the backup and say, ‘Hey, come on over here even though he’s got a contract?’ And so in our world, I think there just needs to be clarity of what we can and cannot do." on3.com/news/one-down-…
