My take is that when you run into a leftwinger who "doesn't know the facts" it's because those (politically inconvenient) facts have deliberately not been reported in the legacy media or in their college classes, but when you run into a rightwinger who "doesn't know the facts" it's often because they distrust legacy media (for good reason) but then rely upon the niche low-IQ rightoid weirdos that infest YouTube and social media.

I worked for USAID when It was closed, these guys literally were firing senior Foreign Service Officers with 30 years of experience on the spot. You don’t have to support abortion. You’re allowed to feel uneasy about it. You can dislike it. You can wrestle with it. Those emotions are yours. But if your real goal is fewer abortions, that starts with prevention.. comprehensive sex ed, affordable birth control, and healthcare that reduces unintended pregnancies. What isn’t okay is shaming or dehumanizing someone for their decision. You don’t get to strip away someone’s rights because their choice makes you uncomfortable. Your personal feelings don’t override another person’s control over their own body. You don’t have to agree with abortion. You do have to respect a woman’s right to make that decision safely and legally.

The Senate gives Wyoming the same power as California. That’s 580,000 people holding equal weight with 39 million. Equal states. Unequal voters.

Two Senators per state does not represent 330 million people. When a minority of Americans can control the Senate, that’s not balance that’s minority rule. Democracy isn’t supposed to give less representation to more people. At some point, representation has to reflect the population.
