There would be practically no violence is ICE acted with respect.  "Illegal immigrants" need to be sent back, but there's a rub. It's the way it's being done ... Like gestapo of the past, like the old KGB, FSB, or other totalitarian henchmen. People are mad at how it's being done. There were many illegals deported during Obama's time, but we didn't hear a lot as it was done without the openly visible violence and disregard of the law. Seizing people who are going for their court appearance is not right as these people were granted temporary immunity till their cases could be addressed. So they are technically legal.  Seizing resident aliens for a "mister-meaner" that was done 11 years ago is really pushing it. Trump said that he wanted to deport the violent illegals ... so that 11-year old minor offence makes that person "violent"? The "voices behind the curtains" are easily convincing "Trump the Genius" to do things that they could not do. So they laugh, drink, and enjoy all the violence as it suits their goals. I wonder if there would be so much violence if the people who are asked for ID simply complied? --- Seems to me like they are scared because they are either illegally here, have skeletons in their closets, are hiding behind the scenes (expired visa, no visa, etc.), or in queue for a court appearance knowing that they broke Resident Alien or Visa rules. --- Immigration rules are VERY clear regarding how a "Resident Alien" can lose their residency.
