If you don't pay for that, you get no benefits from it. You also have an appalling level of greed, just like those who want to tax 100% and 'use it better.'

@russelldobular The Iran war made me see the logic of imposing a wealth tax on all wealth in excess of 100 times the GDP Per Capita (200 for couples), or $8.9 million(17.8 million for couples).
Nobody has a right to risk WWIII on a whim like that. Everyone else's right to life supersedes that.

China gave the world COVID. Then the Chinese Communist Party directed hackers to steal American COVID research while we were fighting the pandemic.
Yesterday, one of those hackers was extradited to the U.S. to face charges. He’s also linked to a Chinese state-backed group that compromised nearly 13,000 U.S. organizations.
This is one arrest, but China has thousands of hackers on its payroll. Worth remembering as we’re negotiating deals with the same government that did this.

I co-introduced historic legislation to increase the minimum wage to $25. As someone who taught economics at Stanford, here is why it makes sense. The real minimum wage was $14 in 1968. Today it is half, but productivity has increased 2.5x. Instead of extractive capitalism, we need a free enterprise system that pays workers what they are worth.

If you want the dollar to be strong, cut waste and raise taxes. You need $500 bil in cuts plus $2 tril in new taxes.
The US cannot dominate China given the population.

Our entire standard of living is dependent upon the strength of the US dollar and our role as *the* global power. People wanting to retreat from that are extremely short sighted and don't have the ability to see the bigger picture.
