I’ve finally given up on Upwork 😭 I’ve tweaked my profile, revamped it, added portfolios I’ve literally done everything on that app, but I still haven’t gotten a single job. Or is there something I’m still not doing right? 🥲

PLEASE DON’T JUDGE ME!!!😂 While I was dating my husband, I was turning Amala, Ewedu and Gbegiri for him almost every other weekend because it was his favorite meal. But now, I can’t even remember the last time I cooked it for him. 😭 He jokingly says I put up a front just to get him to marry me, but honestly, motherhood can humble even the most dedicated wife. Between taking care of the children, house chores, work, and trying to stay sane, some of those “girlfriend package” benefits have quietly disappeared. 😅 No vex oko mi🙏😂

For everyone in the comments saying you would never patronize a business owner because their read receipts are off, I have a genuine question: Are you buying their read receipts or are you buying what they’re selling? I don’t understand why a personal privacy setting has suddenly become a measure of professionalism. People turn off read receipts for different reasons. Some do it for privacy, some for peace of mind, and others simply don’t like feeling pressured to respond the moment they’ve seen a message. If you’re reaching out to buy a product, hire a service, sign a contract, or do business, shouldn’t the focus be on whether the person delivers value? This mindset feels less like wanting good customer service and more like wanting access and control over people. A person’s read receipts being off doesn’t stop them from replying. It doesn’t stop them from delivering quality work. It doesn’t stop them from running a successful business. Focus on the transaction, not the settings on someone else’s phone.

Turning off your read receipts and hiding your last seen feels like a red flag to me. It's not about monitoring anyone or demanding constant access. It's just that being left completely in the dark can make things feel less transparent than they should. Maybe it's a privacy preference, maybe it's nothing at all, but I can't help seeing it as a sign that something isn't quite open. Is it right or am I overreacting?

Some of you guys were doubting if I had ever struggled before maybe I was telling a sub story.. I have had my fair share of life. In 2020 I used to weigh 49 - 50kg. Today I weigh nearly 20kg more. I love now & I don't have to look like your definition of a man. ❤️ and 💡

Forgot to make the repo private after turning it public to connect to render. And he saw it when I sent him my mail to add me to his git. I panicked (which I should not have) and he saw through it and ended the contract. I did learn a couple of things from this and I'd share them.
