You are mixing issues, so I think let's separate the issues: 1. I don’t support CAB3 or meddling with the foundations of our constitution without a referendum. The people should decide if the President gets an extension and the other issues being proposed in the Bill. 2. I don’t support beating, arresting, and muzzling those who oppose CAB3, despite many being opposition members I fought during sanctions. 3. I was promised compensation for the successful fight I undertook against sanctions, and I understand my position on CAB3 could've jeopardized my payment for fighting sanctions. But I think the future of our country matters more than my payment. 4. I believe the government, through my handler Kuda, deliberately withheld my payment for my sanctions fight to try and to control my views. It worked for a while. 5. But now, I've decided to air my views on CAB3, regardless of payment for my sanctions work. I may never be paid, but the spirits of Zimbabwe are pushing me to speak out against CAB3 without referendum.

It is now clear beyond reasonable doubt that the current public consultation process by Parliament is a fraud and a big sham . Across the length and breadth of the country ZANU has carefully and methodically orchestrated a giant choreographed scam with the same basic structure and characteristic . First has been the systematic use of violence and intimidation. Across the country known activists and democrats have been kidnapped assaulted or harassed. In Chiredzi Gilbert Mutebuki is fighting for his life with his wife terribly traumatized. They refused him the right to give testimony at the Chiredzi gathering . They then followed him and literally cut his leg . They left him for dead . In Kwekwe and Mhondoro the few that spoke against the constitution were followed up and assaulted . In Bulawayo two youth leaders were assaulted and the Nketa meeting was prematurely abandoned. The City Sports Center yesterday was a charade. By the absence of regalia , the process was nothing but a ZANU PF rally . As in all other places thousands were bussed to the venue . The same crowd had been at Epworth in the morning . They were fed fast food from Chicken Slice and Chicken Inn. They were made to sign hundreds of statements and affidavits which they deposited in boxes provided for by Parliament. ZANU was in charge . It was a youth chair who passed around the microphone. He knew who to pick and what they were programmed to say . The message was the same orchestra of deceit. “ Allow the President time to complete his projects “ But this is a man who has been in office since 1980. If he didn’t complete a legacy in 46 years , two more years will not help him . “ elections are too divisive , we must concentrate on on development “ But it is regular free and fair elections that guarantee accountability and performance. In any event this lot has been there since 1980 , they have nothing to offer “MPs must elect the President , because South Africa does it “ But South Africa employs a system of proportional representation, not first past the post , therefore the MP has a more national mandate . In any event the South African President does not enjoy the same imperial powers that are being given to this President in terms of CAB 3. One of those is the power to appoint ten Senators . Indeed it was painful to see poor marginalized working people being made advocates for the case of the authors of their misfortune. The weaponisation & instrumentation of poverty & ignorance is a trait of all authoritarian actors in dominated social formations . Dictators across the world have systematically harvested the poverty & ignorance they plant and nurture. ZANU has deliberately underdeveloped Zimbabwe as a way& means of reproducing itself . The intimidation & violence that played out at the City Sports Center was surreal. The refusal to let those in Bay 8 speak where most democrats were stationed was pathetic and embarrassing. The assaults on @DougColtart and @advocatemahere was pre planned and prepaid . Some of us only survived due to the protection offered by a citizens. There is no doubt that the process at hand is one intended to permanently muzzle & silence Zimbabwe . They are recreating a de facto one party State . They have paid millions to destroy the democratic movement . But they want to go beyond a one party State . They seek to turn Zimbabwe into a feudal monarchy . A Munhumutapa dynasty run &controlled by one family . This ambition is ill thought and ill advised . All it does is to push Zimbabwe to the edge . A point of no return . The regime must know that it can never get away with its prehistoric brazen agenda to seize power from the citizen . Citizens & the State itself will refuse and resist . Munhumutapas Kutamadzoka , Chigwangu & others will refuse this ahistorical abuse of the Great Munhumutapa Empire It is not yet too late to withdraw this Bill. We urge its withdrawal . #NoTo2030

CHARADES, NOT HEARINGS!!What were supposed to be CITIZENS’ public hearings on the constitutional amendment bill have turned out to be a circus of choreographed, coached, and rehearsed ZANU (PF) slogans and rallies. The “outreach” has become an “in-reach” for a ZANU violent circus to reproduce their own contrived voices. This is nothing but a desperate attempt to create MANUFACTURED consent and lie that the CITIZENS support this otherwise hugely unpopular Bill. The chaotic and shambolic outreach meetings are nothing but ZANU (PF) DCC-coerced gatherings. Citizens must reclaim their voice, power, and authority to be heard and to matter once more. Only a CONSTITUTIONAL settlement to this constitutional crisis, and a citizen government, is the only credible and bankable solution to the problems affecting Zimbabwe. Disputed elections and national processes is the starting point to the resolution of the crisis. WE, THE CITIZENS, are the ANSWER.

UPDATE ON GWAYI-SHANGANI: Owing to the President’s directive for a consistent monthly release of money to the Gwayi-Shangani Project, we are set to impound water this coming season. Going by what happened to Tugwi-Mukosi whose size and catchment area is comparable, the Lake could fill in one season. The race is now on to resettle families who will be displaced by the Lake’s waters. We are likely to use the Kunzvi Dam model where the contractor puts up structures for such families for payment by Govt later. Also, there is pressure to finish the first 100km of the pipeline to Bulawayo so a greenbelt can start immediately after the first year of impounding water.
