Oh man, raising teenage children is so amusing! Story time: While preparing to go to a dance with some friends last night, my 16-year-old son showed me his wrinkled shirt and asked what to do about it. I took him into our laundry room, showed him our clothes steamer, and pointed to a gallon of distilled water. "Fill this up with that, hang your shirt up, and then hit it with the steam." A short while later, he left for the dance. This morning, I walked into our laundry room and was met with a super strong scent. Vinegar. At first, I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. But following my nose, I realized the smell was coming from our steamer. It didn't take me long to piece together what had happened. There were two bottles of clear liquid in our laundry room. One, a bottle of distilled water. The other, cleaning vinegar. Yes, my son filled our steamer and steamed his shirt with vinegar. How could he not have noticed? Well, he lost his sense of smell when he had Covid. I can only imagine the conversation his friends had after dropping him off at our house last night. "Dude, what Cologne was Calvin wearing?!" "I don't know man, but it was Aggressive!" "I know, right? He smelled like those potato chips that my grandma likes." My wife and I have been laughing all morning!
