A protest requires an announced event, a crowd assembled for expressive conduct, signage, chants, permits or at least demonstrable collective expression. None of that existed. There was no protest scene. There was an active federal enforcement operation. What matters is intent and posture. This individual did not arrive to observe. He did not arrive to document. He did not arrive to express speech. He arrived armed, with a 9mm and additional ammunition, during an ongoing federal operation, and deliberately inserted himself into the operational space of agents. That is not protest behavior. That is disruption. The state organized SIGNAL CHANNEL is this. He showed up to resist enforcement. Resistance is an action, not speech. Resistance means interfering with lawful authority. Resistance means obstructing officers. Resistance means escalating a controlled situation into a volatile one. When someone arrives armed to an enforcement scene and engages physically, the moment they ignore commands and struggle, the situation legally and operationally converts from crowd control to use-of-force protocol. At that point, officers are no longer evaluating speech. They are evaluating threat vectors, proximity, weapon access, and reaction time. This is where the narrative collapses. You cannot claim peaceful intent while bringing a firearm into an active enforcement zone. You cannot claim protest while physically engaging agents. You cannot claim heroism while resisting lawful orders. You cannot claim assassination when the chain of events is initiated by armed interference. The “state-backed insurgency” language is dramatic, but the core point is correct. This was ideological resistance to federal law enforcement, not protected assembly. The moment force is introduced, the law is no longer operating in the realm of protest rights. It is operating in the realm of officer survival. The lie being sold is subtle but deliberate. They swap protest for resistance. They swap enforcement for oppression. They swap escalation for victimhood. Strip the language away and what remains is simple. As a law enforcement officer, I’ve got a secret to share with you. I get afraid and overwhelmed very easily. And if that happens, let’s just say you’re not going to like it. Because I’ll kill you. I might not even mean to, but it very likely will happen and it will be fine, because I’m allowed to do whatever I want if I feel overwhelmed or afraid. Also I’m a hero and brave. Even if everything you say here is true (although premeditated hard to prove) he took a big risk putting himself in the middle of an ICE raid with a loaded gun. What if the agent snaps, or mistakes phone for a gun, or misheard “gun” to mean he was in danger? Irresponsible.

Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino says an agent then fired "defensive shots." State officials say the man had a lawful Permit to Carry. In its statement, AFGE says the viral video of the shooting doesn't clearly show him brandishing a weapon. At the time of the shooting, federal officials were targeting Jose Huerta-Chuma, an illegal immigrant with a criminal history including domestic assault for intentional conflict bodily harm, disorderly conduct and driving without a valid license.

If a police officer pulls me over, and I don’t like the charges, I can have my day in court. If I get out of my car, stick my phone in his face and cuss him out, I’ll get additional charges and probably arrested. If I get out of my car and get in a fist fight with him, I deserve to get my ass beat. If I choose to get in a fist fight with him and have a gun on me, I deserve to get shot if they feel threatened making split second decisions. All this can be avoided if I simply accept, and respect, the officer’s authority a remain a law abiding citizen. The fact this is a wild take in America today is laughable.

I think some cops suck. I can even understand not liking ICE. But there is no ordered society in which individuals can freely disobey the orders of lawful agents. There are officers who are stupid or foolish. But flagrantly disobeying them is even more stupid.

Folks. I’m going to keep this real simple. - If you park in the middle of tha street and block law enforcement, they have a right to detain you for an infraction. If it’s done on purpose, it’s a crime. - If they are legally detaining you , and you try to get away, you have now committed a crime. - If an officer is in front of your vehicle and you drive forward while he/she is in front of you, it can be considered clear hostile act and an assault with a deadly weapon, because a vehicle has the potential to cause serious bodily injury or death - Which can lead to a law enforcement officer using deadly force to prevent you from hitting him or potentially killing anyone else. If you don’t want that to happen to you, for your safety and the safety of the officer… DON’T DO THAT!!

This is the dumbest argument of all. The officer in the front almost certainly didn't see which way the tires were pointed, just a car coming at him. They can't read her mind. I still think it's arguable whether lethal force was a good judgment call here, but it certainly doesn't come down to which way tires are pointed in slow motion video.

1. The law enforcement officer was entirely in the right. 2. The woman was entirely in the wrong. 3. It's sad the woman died, and we should pray for her family and for the repose of her soul. All of those things can be and in fact are true.

When I’ve been pulled over, I politely ask the officer for permission before performing any action beyond sitting still, like opening the glove box. I do not attempt to flee the scene on slippery roads while surrounded by multiple officers.

The woman in Minneapolis died because she thought she could play chicken with federal law enforcement due to being completely divorced from reality. Life isn’t GTA, this isn’t a movie, everyone is trying to determine if she meant to hit the agent or not when the question really is… Why did she feel emboldened enough to blockade on-duty federal law enforcement and flee when explicit orders were given to stop?

I want to decipher coverage of the woman shot by an ICE agent: 1- Yes a woman was shot 2- She was likely unarmed 3- She inserted herself into the situation 4- She used her car as a weapon 5- She endangered his life on duty What I had heard until I saw the video: 6- Unarmed woman fatally shot by ICE agent in Minneapolis Details matter. But in this day and age, the only thing most people will “know” is item number 6.
