It is a huge honor to be presented as the Legislator of the Year by the National Council for Equal Shared Parenting. For three years I have worked hard for healthy children and families and will continue for as long as my people will keep me. Thank you NCESP for this honor.

@Jan49045Jes That is correct. I couldn't get it past committee. Had I got it to the house floor, I know it would have passed to the governors desk.

@JamieRayGragg - am I understanding this correctly? HB 1222 which would have banned candy and soda pop from SNAP & it failed to launch? Seriously? I work FT & can’t afford $13 for a 24 pack of pop!! We pay for it now and we’ll pay for it later under their healthcare expenses!!

This morning, the Fathership bill (HB927) passed out of senate committee with a vote of 4-0. It's passed unanimous out of 4 separate committees now. Keep praying this sails thru the senate and then on to the governors desk.

We passed HB 408, sponsored by Rep. @JamieRayGragg, which will restrict cellphone use in Missouri schools. "We HAVE to help create a safe and education friendly environment for our teachers, students and parents. If we don't, we are failing Missouri's future." - Rep. Gragg

Then, RFK Jr. urged “all the other Governors” to do exactly what Big Food asked him not to do. “Get in line behind Governor Morrisey and apply for a SNAP waiver to my agency, and we’re gonna give it to you.”

#MOHouse votes 109-32 to require that a baby who survives an attempted abortion must be given the same care as any other child born alive. Thank you #MOLeg for stopping Missouri abortionists who claim Amendment 3 gives them the right to guarantee a dead baby! #ProLife #HB195 house.mo.gov/BillMobile.asp…

PASSED!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday, HB927 passed UNANIMOUSLY out of the committee on Children and Families. Ultimately, at the heart of this bill, it is not a father bill. It is a kids' bill. Our children are the biggest benefit from having dads in their lives. facebook.com/share/p/15yJ2T…

@jonsipp78 @JoshHurlbert @MikeHenderso12 @SLUPoll Like you as a teacher, I put students first. As I have said all along, I will fight for students, parents, and teachers all day and every day over an institution. We have to do what it takes to help our students succeed. Taking these distractions/addictions away is just one way.

@jonsipp78 @JoshHurlbert @MikeHenderso12 @SLUPoll Are these the same districts that pay teachers what they are worth before the legislator has to step in and force them to pay a minimum every so many years? And, thank you for being a student first teacher. We have soooo many, but you never get enough thanks and credit.

@JamieRayGragg @JoshHurlbert @MikeHenderso12 @SLUPoll As a teacher and parent, I very much put my students' needs first. That's why I chose the job I chose. I trust, however, that our school districts can make that policy on their own without legislation. I very rarely see parents making their children leave their phones at home.
