@ThomasHaig @SimonCourtACT @actparty More notes: solar and wind tech is way better than even a few years back, with EU and China leading the way. We have an FTA with China, so this is a perfect excuse.
English

@SimonCourtACT @actparty You're missing a few points. 1)geothermal provides a big chunk of NZ's baseload 2)hydro can provide firming for intermittency if there's more solar and wind and our use of solar is *way* less than it should be 3)batteries are cheap & we could have heaps more for peaking
English

@M57264549C @2021Some1 @SimonCourtACT @grok Why? Hurts direct profits for gentailers and pil barons overseas.
English

@2021Some1 @SimonCourtACT @grok Why shut down any energy project if private capital is paying for it?
More energy the better
English

@Lurchy16 @Stephfor_nelson @SimonCourtACT Land, underground, in the sea. It doesn't matter where the batteries are stored, only that they are secure.
English

@Stephfor_nelson @SimonCourtACT And land-based batteries to supplement stored potential of the lakes. Yep, that works.
English

@SimonCourtACT 1. Sun is INFINITE. Literally INFINITE (ya know, thing that NEVER ends!) energy at our disposal. Even at night you can charge via solar.
2. Wind in NZ is reliable. Otherwise why would we have so many on water activities!?
3. Same with rain/hydro and wave power.
English

@mauriceraiti @RaevenNZ He's a class elitist too. Won't be caught with anyone he deems below himself. Typical dust ball.
English

@PaulLambertNZ @mauriceraiti "Never been any suggestion that they're biased" - do you need new specs mate, cause clearly you only see 💩 💩 💩 and eat it too, if you think Curia isn't biased. And another thing, if you get kicked out of your governing body, you're instantly suspected of being disreputable.
English

@mauriceraiti Anything substantial to say? It's well known that Farrar runs Curia. There's never been a suggestion that they're biased, and they tend to be more reliable than most in terms of accuracy. As for being kicked out - did you even read the history of that particular complaint?
English

@marks298933 Not even worth the news, since down on Terra Firma we're in the midsts of a possible WW3
English

@TheObserva2902 @AynRandy666 I call BS on that one. For one it sounds like you're a disgusting person. And you probably like disgusting places.
English

@AynRandy666 I was there under Ardernism. It was a dreary depressed and crime ridden shithole. A disgusting place filled with disgusting people.
English

Step 1 - start an ideological crusade against Wgtn public servants via huge cuts because you blew $14 billion on "tax cuts" & landlords
Step 2 - drive skilled young Wgtn people overseas because there are no jobs
Step 3 - watch as your business "base" gets annihilated 🙄 #nzpol

English

@bobsmithyeh @AynRandy666 Everyone else is going under too. "Woke" (which for you means decent but I hate decent) or not. Funny that, ya freak.
English

@AynRandy666 Wellington was a woke hell hole. This was was always going to happen.
English

@jenkins_ru47081 @AynRandy666 And where are those big spenders that would've saved everyone? Nowhere? That's right, they only existed in your stupid wee noggin.
English

@AynRandy666 Take vibrant city, put the greens in charge, kill the 7's, kill Courtney place, kill the waterfront with barriers, put cycleways everywhere because cyclists are happy go lucky big spenders and party people
English

@ChrisBBacon3 @AynRandy666 Typical drivel from someone not even from NZ. We don't spell Labor, FOOL
English

@AynRandy666 NZ is a mess from its Labor days- its going to take a long time to fix
English

@elonmuskdaman @AynRandy666 You mean the psychotic "protestors" defacated in every nest? Yeah, those fudgers were supremely crooked. As are these pricks.
English

@AynRandy666 Wellington shit in its own nest, who would want to stay there
English

@AynRandy666 Ird is responsible for 70% of business liquidations maybe they should pay their tax like my business.
English

@nzhodl @AynRandy666 Actually, we don't. Nearly half of us voted against this govt. So, WE didn't get what WE voted for.
English

@AynRandy666 You get what you vote for Ayn.
And it's a myth they've cut thousands of public sector jobs, they've only tinkered.
English

@tweet @AynRandy666 @SolidAirJohn Was never about the pay. People can take a pay cut, but workplace treatment, lifestyle and how a country overall treats workers is most important.
English

@arrongnz195103 @Suzyiam @NZNationalParty She blocked you because you (whether you're a person, bot, AI or farm of wackos) are an irredeemable idiot. And not even the funny kind. The sad and depraved kind.
English

@Suzyiam @NZNationalParty What sort of coward asks you a question and then blocks you from answering, Betsy? 🤣
English

@arrongnz195103 @Suzyiam @NZNationalParty More than 20 million died from it, in the space of a year. Body bags were piled into trucks in the US because it was so stupidly bad. Bodies were mass buried in other countries. NZ + a few others were the only ones to have a reprieve from that horror. To not see that is ignorant
English

@Suzyiam @NZNationalParty Covid wasn't a killer virus. It was no big deal
English

@Larry_Ligar Far out! Winston was only given the photo op because Australia, UK are distancing themselves. This is bad, hanging with evil people.
English

With friends like the United States, who needs enemies?
NZ needs to reconsider its foreign policy, urgently
Secretary Marco Rubio@SecRubio
Met with New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters today to discuss cooperation on critical minerals supply chains, the Iran conflict, and ways to advance security and prosperity in the Pacific Islands.
English

@KahurangiHippo1 @AucklandIsland Aus had decades under their own Nats, so no wonder. They're still handling things better than us.
English

@AucklandIsland poor handling of the petrol crisis in Australia but NZ isn't far behind with our uncaring Coalition government and a PM who is always in hiding, both governments are not doing enough for there people!
English

'Fuel crisis hearing told truck drivers on brink of 'going out of business' without immediate help.'
Meanwhile New Zealand businesses struggle on with no word from National.
