Ignore the losers that are only ok with men going in the ladies bathroom if they are in drag. Your daughter’s safety and well-being are the only things that matter.

@ashleyschendel @Libizis Doesn’t work like that all the time. My daughter was 3 and screamed and yelled like I was abducting her when I tried to take her into the men’s room. What then? Let them be traumatized? Make them go into somewhere they know they’re not comfortable going? Hmm good to know

I know people are split on this, but I’m not. My husband and my dad would’ve never walked into a women’s restroom. Ever. When our daughter was little and I wasn’t with them, my husband took her into the men’s room. Did he love it? No. Are men’s bathrooms usually gross? Yes. But public bathrooms are gross in general. Nobody is sitting down comfortably in either one like they’re at home. I wish every place had a family restroom. That would solve a lot of this. But they don’t, and you still have to make the best decision in the moment. For me, that decision is not a grown man going into the women’s restroom. If the concern is cleanliness, then are we saying dads should start bringing little boys into the women’s restroom too? Because little boys are also children. They also deserve clean bathrooms. That argument falls apart pretty fast. Use the men’s stall. Stand guard. Bring wipes. Bring sanitizer. Put toilet paper down. If you’re worried about stall gaps, keep a towel or blanket in the car. It may not be ideal, but parenting is full of “not ideal.” Men do not belong in women’s restrooms. And I don’t think that should be controversial.

Grown men and women seem to have gotten confused about what little children can be clear on. There are clear differences between men and women. Both need a certain amount of space alone. Women, in particular, are more vulnerable, and our spaces reflect that. Like the kids say, boys and girls should go into their proper restrooms. Kinda hard when parents divorce. Let's keep men and women to their proper spaces. Like the kid said.

Girl dads, please bring your little girls into the women’s restroom. Don’t worry about the judgment from strangers. Your daughter’s safety and comfort matter far more than anyone else’s opinion. As a mom, I would much rather see a dad helping his little girl in the women’s restroom than sending her somewhere alone or into a men’s restroom where she may not feel comfortable. A quick, “Girl dad coming in with my daughter,” is more than enough. Most women understand. Most women want little girls to have a safe bathroom experience. You’re not bothering us. You’re taking care of your child, and that’s exactly what a good parent should do.

If Dad isn't available, mom should take young son into women's room, as a rule. Older boys eventually move to the men's room, certainly by puberty, usually well before that. Checking that the men's room is empty first can be useful. Checking - hollering in- every couple of minutes can be useful too, so they never look fully unattended.

People just don't get it. They don't understand what a "Memorandum of Understanding" ("MOU") actually is. Trump is a businessman first and foremost, and I'm a corporate lawyer who has done a lot of financings and mergers, so I think I get where he is coming from. An MOU is merely an initial framework for deal negotiations. MOUs are generally non-binding, and they simply chart a path towards a definitive agreement. Deals fall through all the time even after an MOU is signed, and if the deal actually closes, about 95% of the time the definitive agreement differs materially from the MOU based on diligence and further negotiations. Trump knows this, and it's how he thinks.

If not, you're saying that men are violent & can't be trusted, but yet still want those same men in the women's bathroom? Tell the men to clean up their act instead of telling women to give up their boundaries.
