11 Myanmarese poachers arrested from remote island in Andamans by Indian forces after 3 day operation.

More and more interesting facts of Indian FBR keep on coming. The US spent $15 billion. Gave up. Japan spent $12 billion. Their Monju prototype had one sodium fire in 1995 and never recovered. The UK spent $8 billion. Germany spent $6 billion. France, Italy, all walked away. Six of the richest nations on Earth concluded this technology was too hard and too expensive to pursue. India started building in 2004 with an initial budget of $420 million. Twenty-two years, a dozen missed deadlines, and a cost doubling later, the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam just sustained a controlled fission chain reaction. The reactor is now alive.

Are close-range shots fired beside a public road a clear violation of protocol ? Tagging @MappingNEast to answer in on this footage. Please let us know exact SOPs for crowd control specifically : - The escalation ladder of force - Protocols for firing live ammunition - Post-firing protocols Furthermore, the footage raises critical questions that must be answered , please answer : 1. Where were the shots aimed ? 2. Who authorized the firing ? 3. Was immediate medical aid provided ? 4. Were all non-lethal alternatives strictly exhausted ? @sardesairajdeep @BDUTT @YKhemchandSingh @NBirenSingh @Bimol_Akoijam @UN @UNHumanRights @ijmonitor @amnesty @crpfindia

Four killed after violence flares in India's Manipur state reut.rs/3ObpXPk reut.rs/3ObpXPk

Footage confirms that CRPF personnel initially attempted to de-escalate the situation through peaceful negotiation and standard crowd-control measures. The situation at the Tronglaobi CRPF camp turned critical after a morning mortar strike killed two children. A large, angry crowd surrounded the camp and began setting fire to the buildings. As the mob breached the fences and tried to storm the weapon armory, security forces realized they could lose control of lethal weapons. After trying to stop the crowd with other methods, the CRPF was forced to use live fire as a last resort to protect the ammunition and the lives of the personnel inside. @HenzOnaha @Khonjel_Manipur @Lairenjao
