Police Scotland's asking people in Aberdeenshire to look out for PD Kilo - a 4-year-old drug detection dog who went missing on Monday in the Cairnie, Huntly area after a seizure. Officers say it's out of character for him to run off and ask anyone who spots him to get in touch.

Remembering Merseyside Police Dog Ghost, who was killed on duty on 8th November 2016 Almost 4 years old, Ghost had served with his force his entire life Police dog Ghost was searching for offenders who had entered premises in Southworth Road, Newton-le-Willows, in the early hours of Tuesday, 8th November 2016, when his handler lost sight of him Police said the three-year-old German shepherd was found shortly afterwards on the M6 nearby with traumatic injuries after being hit by a vehicle. No vehicles stopped at the scene where Ghost was found In his short life, he had become a valued member of his team and had been part of numerous jobs that led to arrests PD Ghost had bounced back from previous injuries after he had broken his tail in a previous incident and had suffered and survived GDV the previous year and came back fighting when most dogs dont survive or are retired We thank you for your service and will remember and honour your name 🫡🕊💙🐾🥀
