@metsbatflip1 Who do you think is going to take him! I mean this toxic moronic BS is super old. Like there’s a line of 29 teams begging for Senga or something. You can’t all be this dumb.

Kodai Senga begged and begged on his knees for the Mets to keep him this season. This is a guy who can’t stay on the field and when he does he has trouble throwing strikes, let alone putting hitters away. He currently has an ERA of 10. Saw this coming from a mile away. Makes no sense as to why they didn’t move him.

The Reds are just as pathetic as the Mets except they’ll play little league ball all day long with no shame just to try and get a win.

How come we knew Senga was going to stink but the Mets CONTINUE to shove him & Peterson down our throats!!

One on with no outs and couldn’t even get him to second. You can complain about Senga all you want but when there’s this many opportunities to get runs in and you can’t that’s a bigger problem.

@01Starblazer He’s a career 3.39 era including his 9.00 this year. Fragile maybe but overrated is a tough one to argue. The issue is like the rest of the rotation, there’s no workhorse. Leads to injury and overworked pen.

I have nothing against Kodai Senga. He's just fragile and grossly overrated by this fan base. At best, he's a backend starter. In reality, he's a guy who should consider returning to Japan to finish his career. This team ain't going anywhere. Play the kids. Get better.

@chadlurie @BaseballQuotes1 Looks like 3 guys produced all the hits and runs and one of the was a PH. That is pretty dismal. I’d be happy for the win but it certainly isn’t the best way to get it.

@JDevilSports He’s only been in the league 3 years and he has a career era including his current 9.00 this year. I’ll agree he’s been injury prone but there’s no way to know that would happen.

@MicParabolic Senga had one good season. His first. Since then? Injury after injury after injury. I don't care who caused him to get hurt. He's ALWAYS hurt. And he had an ERA over 6.50 when he came back last year. It's not wizardry to say relying on a guy with that profile is a bad bet.

@JDevilSports Senga was considered the Ace. In 2023 he had a sub 3 era. 2024 he only got one game in before he was hurt. But besides that 2025 was still statistically a good year 7-6 with a 3.02. So he was lights out before Alonso broke him. To say you knew he was going to suck is wizardry.

@MicParabolic I'm gonna push back on that. Senga hasn't been effective in a couple of years. Started last year well then pitched to a 6.56 ERA in his last eight starts. Peterson was an All Star last year and then was atrocious in the second half. His ERA was 6.39 in the second half.

@TonyD59772266 @Mets2026 Polanco is a bridge to Clifford. Robert Jr was a bridge to Ewing. Semien is a bridge splitting time with Baty. They have fielders in the pipeline. They’re missing pitchers so the idea that they’re going to get rid of them all when there’s no market for them doesn’t make sense.

@TonyD59772266 @Mets2026 Rebuilding, which is in year 2, doesn’t consist of getting rid of everyone every year because you’re losing. Polanco and Robert Jr are likely top of the list to replace. Peralta is good bait but it doesn’t help the rotation long term. Senga and Manea are worthless.

@MicParabolic @Mets2026 Well, indulge me. Do you think the Mets should release Manaea and Senga? I’m dying to hear your answer to prove a point, possibly.

It’s already too late for Stearns to trade for help. The Mets might as well be sellers. Trade anyone except McLean, Soto, Benge, and Ewing.

The Mets offense has stranded 11 runners on base the last four innings. As I said, this has been the problem.

@CupofMets Bullpen ball requires more pitchers and when you’re forced to use 2 starters in bullpen ball it’s even harder. Then coupled with the fact that only 1 starter can make it past the 5th inning it doesn’t help. They have to rotate guys in and out in order to keep up.

Brutal “start” by Tobias Myers in his return to the bigs… Here’s an idea, just throwing it out there - call a kid up that can go through hiccups at the big league level that we see as a part of the future? Tong, Wenninger, Thornton? Enough of the opener bullshit.
