Have any payments nerds out there documented the ACH Window closing times for major fintech-friendly banks? For example, Evolve's cut-off is 6pmET - which is pretty early if you ask me (PNC's is 10pmET).

@Drew_Morris None of the above I guess? I don't have an admin and I haven't had a printer in 15 years. And I'm really trying hard to quit the bird app, but failing because Mastodon is Byzantine when it comes to finding people.

@PeterTLuce Depends. Are we talking about the partners who send emails to their admins asking them to print or the cool partners who hang out on the bird app?

Somewhere in suburbia there’s a Jr Associate grinding hours from their parents house. Working every conceivable angle to get a vacationing CEO to click “sign” on a DocuSign. The Associate is warm. The Associate is well fed. But, still, they deserve to be in our thoughts.

@jp_koning Not having a NY Bitlicense is not necessarily indicative of an inability to qualify for said license. There is currently a 2.5 year backlog in processing Bitlicense applications at NYDFS, which has been stripmined of talent by the crypto/fintech industry of late.

New York's BitLicense shielded New Yorkers from FTX-US. And look, it's also shielding New Yorkers from Binance-US. Gotta make you wonder what sorts of activities Binance-US is involved in that it can't, or won't, qualify for a BitLicense. support.binance.us/hc/en-us/artic…

@matthew_d_green They also go out of their way to obfuscate the relationship between the two and the regulatory status of each.

Random reminder that Binance has $5 billion in “pegged US dollar stablecoins” on their BNB chain, all of which could disappear in an instant if the firm goes under. binance.com/en/collateral-…

I am going on holiday this week and could do with some good sci-fi book recommendations. I have read most of the usuals so ideally recommendations from new books from 2022 or less popular books.

Think it's finally time to see if I can GTFO here without too much of a professional/social impact. Just got my #mastodon account setup @collinsbelton over there. Gonna take a few days for me to start transitioning but will try to increasingly use that and see if its viable

@jeffjohnroberts Crypto companies shop for accountants the same way they shop for lawyers and compliance consultants. Don’t stop until you find someone who doesn’t ask too many questions.

Anyone know why crypto firms are using an off-brand accounting outfit like Mazars and not the Big 4? Is it b/c they don't want a real audit? Or b/c KPMG can't or won't do crypto audits?

@h_joshua_rivera That’s been the rub from the very beginning. If crypto becomes ubiquitous, the state’s power to efficiently impose and collect taxes largely evaporates. It’s only partially about AML.

@h_joshua_rivera And for many in crypto, it is, at an existential level, an ideology manifested through technology.

Wow - only 59 out 1,132 of m follows have Mastodon accounts. That's sad. Given my politics, I would have assumed at least half. If you haven't signed up because you're worried it's too much of a pain to re-create your network, may I suggest movetodon.org Get it done!

@bradford_hardin You lost me at Outlook. 😉 Have you looked at @useMotion? Although I suppose you probably can't use it if the banks won't even let you use gmail. Strange about banks though. 100% of my fintech clients use gmail for corp email, and all have bank partners.

I just realized you can drag an email from your Outlook inbox onto your calendar and simply schedule a time to do the task rather than leaving the email in a list of flagged items to complete. GAME CHANGER.
