Two of our comrades will appear tomorrow at the Chinhoyi Magistrates Court. Academic freedom is non negotiable and students' right to freedom of expression must never be tampered with. The two are charged with disorderly conduct. These charges stem from an incident where they challenged a staged gathering intended to falsely claim that students at Chinhoyi University of Technology fully support #CAB3. Efforts to paint a false narrative of students support shall never go unchallenged. Our fight remains rooted in restoring students' urgency in the fight for academic freedom and social justice. We will fill Chinhoyi Magistrates Court in full solidarity. Amandla!

Our Independence Day Statement📌 It's not yet uhuru. Our forefathers and foremothers envisioned a nation built on justice, equality, diginity and true freedom. Yet as students, we must confront a painful truth: that vision remains unfinished. LATEST Emmanuel Sitima has today been denied bail by Magistrate Mangoti who argued that he is likely to abscond. He has been remanded to the 24th of April. This is very sad and unfair- As young people nationwide we need to reflect and decide the Zimbabwe we want #FreeSitima

📌 COURT UPDATE Bail for Emmanuel Sitima has been denied. The presiding magistrate justified the ruling by alleging he is a flight risk likely to abscond. The trial is now scheduled to commence on 24 April. Bail is a fundamental right. The baseless reasoning used to deny our fellow comrades release is nothing but a political pretext to keep them languishing in remand. We reject this injustice outright. We demand: 1. the immediate and unconditional release of Emmanuel Sitima and all detained comrades. 2. an end to the arbitrary denial of bail and the weaponization of the courts to silence dissent. The struggle continues. We will not be silenced.

Does the law in Zimbabwe apply equally to all or only to those who disagree? If freedom of expression is a right, why are opposing voices the ones being arrested while others are left untouched? Justice must be impartial ,selective justice is not justice at all.#HandsOffSitima
