£2.6k for this build. RAM cost is a nightmare, absolutely, and will shop around for prebuilds that include as much stuff like this as possible but overall thoughts?

With RAM being as crazy expensive as it is rn, is it worth buying a new PC? Eyeing up a top end prebuilt or two

@hambinooo @iBBAA_ They’re training to win the lottery at this point. it will be harder and harder to stay at the top, the salary and amount of sponsors will shrink… the drive to be a pro player will die. This is the final nail.

@iBBAA_ I’d bet most of these NA/EU players will regret not pivoting earlier to other esports/content. This new model doesn’t seem sustainable outside of Asia. Their relevancy and talent outside of PUBG will also falter cause this is a joke compared to other esport. Bad mark on resume.

Anyone who is justifying TPP Pubg is a hypocrite. I’ve been around long enough to see ALL these pros and casters talk about how poor it is for skill/integrity/viewer. But all of a sudden it seems like a decent idea? Because it aligns with kraftons majority market? Shameful tbh

@TSM_Break At this point there is no competitive scene and all pro players that are not actively pushing for FPP are sticking with it just because of the monthly pay.

When PUBG first came out, the first few players campaigned hard for a FPP mode in the game, but then also for it to be default as comp settings. Seeing this kinda breaks my heart a little. I don't think anyone who plays TPP cares what mode pro play is in tbh?! You view it dynamically when it's broadcast anyways, it literally didn't matter. Insane change, feel bad for the pro players.

My full thoughts of each point in more depth (made video cause hard writing it all out on x) @PUBG @PUBGEsports please stop ruining esports. There is other things that can be changed/done outside of altering the way the game is currently being played.

Sometimes we see lightning strikes that illuminate an entire city at once. This is Singapore last night, and that was a huge thunderstorm. It’s hard to believe, but these pictures were taken all in the span of 1/40 of a second!

This is the logical core of authoritarianism: that nothing in a society should exist for its own sake. Not art, not comedy, not science. Only what serves power can be permitted to survive.

The reason I say the US is entering a new dark ages is we’re seeing attacks not just on science, but on the very idea that scientific reasoning should be independent of political control.
