Steve has many good takes but you can pry my HM mile 6 gel from my cold dead hands
Steve Magness@stevemagness
Tip for novice runners: You don't need a gel/gatorade for your 5k or 10k race. It's doing nothing except maybe giving you GI issues. Energy intake isn't a limiter until we get close to ~2hr of racing For ~60-90min, it can help via modulating perception of effort, but not necessary

@mikepat711 That would hit even better than when they announced the fully autonomous delivery. 🤤

Pizza Hut franchises across the country are rolling out "Pizza Hut Classic" remodels to bring back the iconic '80s and '90s dining experience.
Franchisees are reviving beloved staples like the red cups, checkered tablecloths, salad bars, and classic Tiffany-style lamps to draw families back into dining rooms.
After years of sleek modern redesigns, the old-school dine-in feel is suddenly making a comeback.

@UNDISCLOSED1979 @deloisivete 1 month = 4.348 weeks
9 months = 39.132 weeks
10 months = 43.48 weeks
English

@deloisivete It’s about 10 months. I hate this 9 month thing. It’s 40 weeks.

@3YearLetterman @acuset857 More importantly zero Big 10 championships.

@Twenty40Vision @CollingeFred @Humanbydesign3 Under very specific conditions and scenarios it will, but no one is going be driving downhill indefinitely.
English

@BadBatcherSC @CollingeFred @Humanbydesign3 What Fred was telling you is that it isn’t a “might” at all. It literally will not get you more miles.
English

@CollingeFred @Humanbydesign3 That's why I said might, it is a very big might.

@ChadMoran @wholemars A lot of $TSLA fans would be better off if they just accepted the latter.
You can love his products, his vision, and want Tesla, SpaceX, and all his other companies to thrive while also accepting that he is severely flawed. Narcissistic egomaniac is not wrong.
English

@wholemars He's not an idiot. He's a brilliant problem solver who's also a narcissistic egomaniac. Both are true.

@strongsideup2 @imagesaicouldnt At my school, freshman-seniors went to homecoming.
English

@imagesaicouldnt Point reduction. The boy is 18 and still acting like a child

Your first sentence is kind of goofy. “Significant” is literally an adjective… so of course it’s subjective. Isn’t it subjective in every context?
And obviously a specific percentage holds more weight in some contexts than others. I wouldn’t want my surgeon to be off by 4.5% when operating on me, but I don’t give a shit if the car ahead of me at a stoplight takes 4.5% longer than normal to react when the light turns green.
In this scenario, if you showed two people, one with 22 bags of weed and another with 21 bags, nobody would claim the person with 22 bags has “significantly” more weed. They both have a lot. The significance only appears because of the added context: 22 bags crosses the felonious threshold while 21 stays under.
English

@Teddybraves @BudElliott3 Well, in this context “significant” is subjective.
One out of 22 is 4.5%.
Is a 4.5% pay raise significant?
Is 4.5% of your life expectancy significant?
I’d say yes.
21 is significantly less than 22, depending how you look at it.

Lucky for him they didn’t find that extra 0.1 lbs that flips it to felony trafficking in Alabama
Nick Kelly@_NickKelly
New: Police say they found 964 grams of marijuana, which is about 2.1 pounds, in the residence of Alabama basketball star Aden Holloway, per documents obtained by @aldotcom. He told them he "only smokes." al.com/alabamabasketb…

@PoetGooner @AphrahAshe @RealPostFolder Of course it does. Just frozen pizzas alone could feed somebody for a year. An average Walmart probably could feed an individual for a couple decades.
English

@AphrahAshe @RealPostFolder Bruh, the average supermarket probably has enough food to feed you for multiple years 😅
English

I don’t know if you’re confusing being rude with being right, but that is obviously a rude thing to say. Do I also think that the meal in question looks gross? Of course I do. But it is clearly rude to comment “gross”. You chose to comment something rude. I don’t see how you can be puzzled by that. 🤣
