Ozempic was designed for diabetes. Then it became the biggest weight loss drug in history. Now a massive new study shows it also significantly reduces depression, anxiety, and addiction risk. One drug. Three completely different conditions. Science is barely keeping up with what GLP-1s are doing The study found that people taking semaglutide (the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy) saw major drops in depression and anxiety alongside the weight loss effects everyone already knew about. It also showed reduced risk of substance use disorders. A weight loss drug that may help treat addiction. Nobody predicted that.

Tip: Don’t tell people on Ozempic that if they ate the same amount of food without the Ozempic, they'd lose the same amount of weight. They get very angry.

@Paddy_Barrett I think we need to start giving statins to 6 month olds. Is there a statin vaccine we can inject along with MMR, Hep-B, TDAP, Covid, HPV etc? Cholesterol, although it is natural, is just as bad as a virus or bacteria.

Autopsy studies show fatty streaks in arteries as early as the teens and 20s. Atherosclerosis starts far earlier than most people think.

No fuel. No water. 20 miles. Sounds insane right? Look at the heart rate. 116 bpm average. This was an easy effort. At this intensity your body is primarily burning fat and the glycogen demand is low. If you fuel and hydrate well the night before and morning of, you can absolutely get through 20 easy miles without eating or drinking mid run. Especially in mild weather. Now if this was a tempo long run or a hard effort? Different story. You’d want fuel on board for anything over 90 minutes at intensity. Should most people fuel on long runs? Yes. But the answer changes depending on effort level, pre-run nutrition, and weather. Context matters.

Long run on a Friday? Why not. Easy 20. No water. No fuel. I believe that’s what the kids today call “raw dogging it.”

Move to Florida. If you’re stuck in life that’s all you need to do. Country mixed with money vibe. Sunshine, wild life, water. No rules here can do whatever you want. Hottest girls. Max activities. Cold weather doesn’t bring the best out of you. No shoes no shirt lifestyle will

I hate to play into generational stereotypes, but they can feel very real sometimes. I was traveling with my family last night, and we were in the hotel hot tub with two baby boomer couples. They were going off about how much golf they’re playing. The conversation shifted to the war, and first they complained about Trump’s speech interrupting their shows, then about how the war is hurting their retirement accounts. It was amazing to me that two couples who probably don’t have more than 15 years left didn’t say one thing about their posterity for a whole hour, but talked about golf, TV, and stock prices. I’m a millennial, but I have daily conversations with multiple people from Gen Z, and the attitude feels completely different. Gen Z seems optimistic but realistic. They know the fate of the future is in their hands, and they’re focused on making sure things are better for their future kids. I honestly don’t know what happened to the baby boomers. I know many are great, but many can also be intolerable.

The fitness jump from 20 to 30 miles per week (32 to 48 km) up to a consistent 40 miles (64 km) is massive. When runners ask about workouts and getting faster, I usually ask back, “Have you ever put together 3 to 4 months of consistent 40 mile weeks?” If the answer is no, that’s your answer to getting faster. Not new workouts or more workouts. More consistent volume. It takes time. If your true easy pace is around 9:30 to 10:00 per mile (5:55 to 6:12 per km), you’re looking at roughly 6 to 7 hours of running per week. That’s the buy-in. It’s a commitment, no doubt. But for a lot of runners, the move to 40+ mile weeks, held consistently for several months, is exactly what takes them to the next level.

So I work at a men’s divorce law firm, and I see this all the time. Guys get such a bad rap when they end up divorced, especially middle-aged with kids. People love to mock their appearance on dating apps or joke about “divorced dads” like it’s funny, but it’s honestly pretty cruel. These men have usually just gone through brutal battles.. in court, with their ex, financially drained, emotionally exhausted. Many have lost a ton of money, time with their kids, and their sense of stability. Now they’re trying to pick themselves back up, put themselves out there, and find someone who actually values them as a person.. something their ex maybe never did. It’s not desperate. It’s resilient. Starting over after divorce isn’t easy, especially when society acts like you’re damaged goods or a punchline just because you’re a middle-aged dad trying to date again. Cut them some slack. A little kindness and respect goes a long way when someone’s rebuilding their life. Respect to all the divorced dads out there grinding through it. You’re not alone ♥️

Black man: “I don’t want you smashing teenage girls in our state ever again” Fishback: “Why haven’t I been arrested, Why haven’t I been arrested?” Black Man: “I don’t know” Fishback: “You should be lynched, you should be lynched for lying about me like that.
