Happy to see Sergey did the respectable thing here and responded to people accusing him of rugging investors and the token. Just kidding. He turned off comments and didn’t address any of them.

We’re incredibly proud of what we've built with @axelar, growing the network to support 80+ connections, processing billions of value, and growing the ecosystem with dozens of applications and thousands of users. In the next chapter, I’m excited to share that we have entered into agreement with @circle, where Interop Labs team and technology transition to becoming a core part of their interoperability strategy. Together, we will lay the groundwork for the next era of onchain finance. Since we started building Axelar in 2020, the network has grown into an open-source community of builders. @CommonPrefix has been continuously contributing to the Axelar Network with new connections, security designs, and more. Going forward, they will take over Interop Labs' activities building and maintaining the protocol. I’m confident that Nikolaos, Dionysis and team will continue supporting all existing partners and growing the ecosystem. We’ll be working closely with them on the transition and to ensure continuity and long-term support.

1/ Introducing Oko: Keplr’s fully open-source embedded wallet stack. Email and social-login onboarding, MPC-enhanced security, and a universal non-custodial wallet, all under Apache 2.0 from client to server, so apps take full-stack control while users keep full ownership.

@gluk64 @Rahul__Ghangas go.cosmos.network is a bridge and dex aggregator, so many routes are not using the new connection to ethereum. Ethereum to Arbitrum (what I see in your route) is not an IBC enabled route, hence axelar is the only option. The intents network is not using Axelar though.

go.cosmos.network is clearly using intents with Axelar (see screenshot), or what am I getting wrong? If it's canonical, does it mean that bridging ETH from one Cosmos chain to another requires a tx on Ethereum L1? Or does it introduce security dependencies — so that if one chain is broken (thinking of Terra) and can fake messages, ETH in the entire Cosmos ecosystem is not secure?

Help me figure out how IBC Eureka works. What I think I understand: - IBC is a protocol designed to relay messages between chains. - When you send a message from chain A to chain B, chain B has to effectively run a light client of chain A. - The light client can only make claims about the consensus of validators. ZK can be used to compress it into a single proof (rather then verifying all signatures and logic directly), but it's not used to attest the full validity of all transactions. - The security of the message received on chain B is thus based on the honest majority assumption of chain A stake. In other words, you trust the majority of the validators of chain A. - Messages alone are not sufficient for bridging. IBC Eureka relies here on intents and liquidity providers. You need to have enough liquidity of a speific token for a bridging route to exist with a given slippage limit. What I don't understand: 1) What is used as a light client for rollups with centralized sequencer, such as Arbitrum or Base? They don't have any stake. 2) How is ETH and other non-native tokens represented in the Cosmos ecosystem? Are some virtual tokens minted and burned based on the messages from ETH L1? 3) Is there a single canonical version of ETH, or does each Cosmos chain have its own version, which is not interchangeable between different Cosmos chains?

@GjermundGaraba its a generalisation for sure and there is definitely more nuance to it, on this point I think its broken, throwing the extreme line out for impact aha. fwiw Germany's democratic setup is way better than many other countries 2 party systems

@susevans It's broken for you in terms of representation, for sure. But there is a difference between that and the whole system being broken (which it may or may not be, but if so, for very different reasons (I think))

I pay taxes in Germany, but can’t vote today. ‘No taxation without representation’ - wasn’t that a rallying cry against tyranny? Funny how history repeats itself. Independent of whatever your political views may be, democracy is broken.

@zvzzvv Well I'm happy to be stupid with an opinion and no dignity then. Do you think governments from every country should have the same policies? Seems implicit in your response
