@farmingandJesus @JohnBautista519 because publicly posting that your wife used to be a slut is very christlike. it’s just performative christianity, and you are probably ok with that.

The comments on this have brought me to tears. Seriously , humans are so wicked. The fact that Christ died for us astonishes me. We do not deserve you, Lord. God bless you Trevor and thank you for this encouraging testimony. Your wife is beautiful and has also encouraged me many times. Never delete this because Christ Saves sinners and we are called to testify of this.
Trevor Sheatz@TrevorSheatz

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

CJ Roberts writes a relatively brief 21 page Opinion, with 5 other Justices joining all but one section. Justices Gorsuch and Barrett join only the section dealing with the Major Questions Doctrine. Justice Gorsuch writes a 48 PAGE concurring opinion that I haven't yet dissected. No other Justice joins him. Justice Barrett writes a very short 4 page concurrence. Justice Kagan writes a 7 page concurrence the primary purpose of which is to challenge the use of the Major Questions Doctrine -- this usually impacts activist Democrat Presidents more than GOP Presidents, so the 3 liberals want not part of endorsing the Major Questions Doctrine. Justice Jackson writes a short 5 page concurring opinion in which she is the lone voice -- as always -- calling for the reading of Legislative History as a tool for deciding the case. Justice Thomas writes a very interesting 13 page disssent that takes on use of the Major Questions Doctrine on Separation of Powers grounds. And Justice Kavanaugh writes a massive 63 page dissent that defends the Administration's position in all respects, beginning with the premise that "tariffs" are one of many means for "regulating imports." The divide between Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh is what will studied extensively. But that is going to take some.
Shipwreckedcrew@shipwreckedcrew

The Tariff decision is 6-3 against the President with CJ Roberts and Justices Gorsuch and Barrett joining the 3 liberals. Roberts, Gorsuch, and Barrett stand mainly on the "Major Questions Doctrine" which stands for the proposition that Congress would not convey such sweeping powers as those involved in the Tariffs without clear and precise language expressing its intention to do so. Thomas, Alito, and Kavaugh dissent -- with Kavanaugh writing the Dissenting Opinion.

@SmithtonJames @bonchieredstate so what are YOUR thoughts on modern day Jews? do you think they are on the correct path of salvation through the sacrifice of Christ? or is there anything that contradicts that?

Great Answer. He sacrificed Himself for us, He could have called down angels to save Him but He laid His life down. He even declared that, "No man takes my life". This nonsense about the Jews is just trying to somehow rationalize and justify misplaced hatred for the Jews by people today who have no idea why they really hate the Jews other than for centuries people have been spouting lies and now they are cept the lies as truth. Thanks Luther.

If Trump hadn’t appointed Acosta to Labor, no one would have cared. A different federal prosecutor would come to a similar conclusion in 2009. It was a complicated case with uncertain federal implications, and Florida state prosecutors were promising prison time and reneged. After 2017, federal prosecutors will make it a higher priority, because Acosta was so unfairly treated.

A good example of how bad the journalism has been about Epstein. “Epstein was a narcisstic celebrity collector who had an unrelated illegal perversion that victimized a surprising number of teenagers” is boring, but one can instead be dishonest and try to get the scalps of one’s enemies.
Jesse Singal@jessesingal

.@marlowstern, formerly of the Beast and now an adjunct at the Columbia School of Journalism, took what he knew were totally standard emails betwen Epstein and Nellie Bowles, who was potentially going to profile him, and presented them in a way that suggested NB was connected to Epstein's misdeeds. Heinous, loathsome, begging-to-be-sued journalistic malpractice. He blocked me when I pointed this out.

I would also like to note that the Speaker had to remind and correct House members about engaging in negative opinions of President Trump in their stump speeches and the gentle lady from NC has had to constantly remind everyone that it is because of PRESIDENT TRUMP and HIS DOJ that Epstein was arrested and tried.
Tiffany Savage 🇺🇸@patriot_savvy

Massie literally just blamed attacks on Greene/Mace/Boebert on MAGA. Please tell me he really doesn’t think he’s gonna build a coalition strong enough of never trumpers and democrats to win. Is this really about the victims or is it about someone who feels entitled to be the next big ‘R’ Tent party leader, has aged out of relevance, and is capitalizing on a lose/lose situation for President Trump by way of political theater?

The risk with going after Tucker Carlson is that a lot of casual viewers have no idea how far off the deep end he’s gone. People who know Carlson personally are aware of it, as are people who watch his show regularly. But casuals don’t. I talked to a boomer yesterday and told him about all of Carlson’s globalist left-wing anti-Trump guests. He had literally no idea. So yes, Tucker is not MAGA. But we’re going to need to explain why.
