But most of all to Andy Shaw—a #mensch amongst mensches—who conceived it all and made it happen. Mensch is a Yiddish word, meaning a person of genuine decency and moral backbone. Today, in 2026, having 'moral backbone' means to stand publicly with the Jewish community at a time when visible solidarity is most in need. NEW: Belfast City Council are to seek to send contractors into Shore Crescent to remove (lawful) anti-immigration banners. They plan to do this tonight or in coming days. The same issue as was **not** determined in the High Court this week applies, namely BCC have operated as if this decision cannot be called in. That is simply wrong, and a legal challenge in respect of that unlawful standing order is already lodged today by a citizen of Belfast who **does** have standing to bring the challenge. BCC is out of control & it’s likely the people of Shore Crescent will want to peacefully protest against any attempted aggressive incursion into their community by BCC contractors.

An inconvenient truth is that Palestine was freed. In 2005. After a free election resulted in Hamas getting power, Israel completely withdrew from Gaza. They even left advanced greenhouses completely set up so the Palestinians could grow their own food. What did the Palestinians do? They kept trying to destroy Israel. They literally tore their water pipes to fire rockets from. And they tore apart the greenhouses instead of choosing to get food and aid from UNRWA. Palestinians don’t want peace. They want to kill all the Jews in Israel. Every poll shows this. It’s why they’ve rejected their own state six times.
