This is an interesting way to look at it. The expansion of the collateral providing room for continued issuance of STRC will be a very interesting event and I think we will see crazy behavior in the next bull run.

I think when Bitcoin starts going up, @Saylor will keep issuing $STRC to buy more BTC But he will no longer have to sell $MSTR equity to keep amplification at 30-40% because the denominator is going up Amplification = (debt + pref)/(Bitcoin holdings) If MSTR sells shares of STRC: Debt won't go up Pref goes up Bitcoin holdings also goes up But the current stack grows massively as the price rises (762,000 BTC stack means the stack grows $762M for every $1,000 BTC goes up) So if MSTR wants to keep its amplification at 30%, every $1,000 increase in Bitcoin's price means they can issue 229M of STRC without issuing more shares of MSTR Am I thinking of this in the right way?

@TheBourbonDr Both the high rye and double oak are excellent bottles. Decent price. Not a steal but not much of a markup. Keep an eye out for their rye products as well. It’s a great distillery to visit in Louisville as well. 10/10 experience

There is no design in the paper. It's just more theory craft. If someone were to build a superconducting quantum computer that works, has 500,000 physical qubits, and can maintain coherence for several minutes; then it could crack 256bit ecc. Before this work it would have taken a computer with millions of physical qubits hours or days. Neither of these things are likely to exist this century or ever, considering that the best such device built to date had hundreds of physical qubits coherent for a hundred microseconds or so.

GOGGLE CRACKED BITCOIN! Nope. Google Quantum AI just published a new paper showing ECC-256 (Bitcoin’s curve) could theoretically be cracked with <500k physical qubits. Not a big deal for Bitcoin. - Still pure theory. No one has hundreds of thousands of error-corrected qubits. - Most BTC sits in addresses where the public key is never exposed until you spend (don’t reuse addresses). - Bitcoin can soft-fork to quantum-resistant signatures years before any real threat arrives.
