Having a rod in my leg makes airport security checks quite chaotic, especially when the officer is very strict. And somehow, I end up with such officers every time 🥲 It’s a good thing the rod is below my knee, otherwise these security officers might even ask me to remove my pants during the check and make me feel like Shah Rukh Khan I encountered one such officer today as well. He asked me to remove my shoes and belt (even though it wasn’t leather), then made me go through the scanner again. After that, he did a thorough manual check. Even after I told him, “Sir, I have a rod in my leg,” he still checked everything 😭

Every devotee deserves a proper and dignified darshan. How can some be treated as VIPs in God’s temple while the rest struggle like this. Many temples in India have well managed systems for smooth darshan. Such systems should be implemented across the country. Most importantly, VIP darshan culture needs to be ended immediately. Faith must be equal for all.
