Starting to think that when people say "claude is getting worse" they may have just hit that level of complexity in their project where claude is starting to panic and make random changes just like any other junior dev thrown in the deep end.

@alexhillman Yea this is a simplification (my prompt has the details of my specific scenario). Just confirming there are different use cases and the execution model for skills vs mcp is different.

As a rule I don't trust the models for fact, or to judge things like "better."
Anything from the order you list the options to artifacts in your system make it impossible to tell what else is feeding into biases at the session and project level.
I ask it to compare/contrast the tradeoffs for a much more specific set of secnarios, verify those with primary sources, and make my decision from there.

The hate for MCP is so weird.
It's a tool. A very good one for the right scenario and user.
If you're the kind of person who hates a protocol it's probably not for you.

Yeah this was 1,000% worth it. Separate Claude subscription + Clawd, managing Claude Code / Codex sessions I can kick off anywhere, autonomously running tests on my app and capturing errors through a sentry webhook then resolving them and opening PRs... The future is here.

cannot repost this hard enough. The system as is, is extraordinarily profitable for it's operators and the operators are pathologically competent.
