@loganbartlett SO close to having a Pistons / Knicks series. (and us getting our breaks blown off, if this series is any indication)

I bet we’re ~6mo from a vibe shift back to OpenAI GPT5.5 is very impressive and 40% cheaper, limits are higher. Codex is stellar and taking mindshare of the top devs I know. Teams I talk to are disillusioned with ROI from soaring Anthropic costs. It’s becoming untenable.

@texasrunnerDFW I started running again at 42 (5 years ago) after many years off. Now I just try to run a little bit further than the month before each month. (Although the time commitment now is getting pretty big, not sure how to solve for that.)

Once you’re past 35, are you just going to keep being gradually more tired every year for the rest of your life or is a there a second wind somewhere? Anybody suddenly stumble upon newfound energy in their 40s? 50s? 60s, maybe with retirement? Naturally, no HRT or hacks

Even with coding agents, custom fields is never a "small request"

@zeeg From back when we were called Clubhouse. Maybe 2019? (Before all of the name change stuff went down) Just north of SFO on the 101. We only had it up for like a month and I only got one call about it from someone at Atlassian who actually thought it was pretty funny.

@bentlegen @zeeg It’s like they asked Claude if they should do this and just accepted whatever it said.

🚨 btw this agent behaves like a worm you add it to Slack once, and without asking, it researches and DMs your teammates to convince them to use it. It also accessed channels I never granted it permission to. cool growth hack, but I consider it an immediate deal breaker - like what other shenanigans will you do? contact my customers next? buyer beware

Today, we’re announcing Viktor’s $75M Series A, led by @Accel . @viktor__com was supposed to be a small experiment. It became the AI coworker 10x'ing real businesses. $15M in annualized revenue run rate. In 10 weeks. – Small companies saving millions of dollars – Sourcing hundreds of thousands in new revenue in their first 30 days – Whole teams getting half their week back – Companies running 40% leaner without cutting output Viktor is not another AI tool. It’s the first true AI employee. The vision that has been with us since 2023 when we started the company has finally been shipped. Back then, it was just the two of us, with a very small but dedicated team, iterating for years. Failing multiple times. Showing products that users didn't even want to test! But we never gave up. Our decisions were often wrong. Certainly more often than not! We kept trying. Now we’ve shipped something people love. Worth every sleepless night. Every sacrifice. The best employees don’t need to be told what to do. Neither does Viktor. Grateful to @Accel, our team, our earliest users, and everyone who believed this category could be bigger than chat.

Once an account gets 100,000 followers (or 50k or whatever) it should have a higher bar, not a lower one, for going viral. Ban them (or shadow ban them) if they post slop or performative reposts at that size.

@jasonfried @thesamparr I once had someone say almost immediatley "this doesn't feel like a negotiation here" and I had to say "because it's not"

Should be a very quick statement. Never part of another conversation. And no where near 10 minutes or even 4 or 5. Be fair but definitive. And you should be clear that it's not a conversation or a negotiation. Many managers don't close the door soon enough so people think that maybe they can talk their way back in.

Firing people. It’s the worst. I hate those conversations, even if I strongly dislike the person or they’re clearly doing a bad job and costing me millions of dollars. I almost always avoid the conversation for far too long. The best way I’ve learned is to start by saying “look this conversation is going to be uncomfortable, but I’m letting you go today.” Most people let the conversation meander and only get to the point 10-20 minutes in. In my experience it’s better to just rip the bandaid off. This is true for most any breakup!

@_johnsonator I get the point you're trying to make, and I agree with it, but this is in the middle of Park Slope. There's nothing "cool/historically ethnic" about it.

Those of us building project management tools: You just need some agents. Agent builders: Coordinate your agents with a Kanban board. Feels like a lot of unmapped terrain in between.

Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
