It took me 40k followers to realize that I am often being perceived by others. It’s been really fun but also really crazy, because people come up to me a lot and essentially say “hey i’ve read your online diary and that makes us friends” and like 80% of the time it does

going to local events reallyy makes it apparent how many real human beings are silently perceiving me on the internet. I can't believe how often I meet a stranger and learn they read my tweets

thinking about the deep quarantine period when me & my wife inexplicably started rewatching Supernatural and Audrey cat liked it so much that we kind of cooled on watching eventually because we were mildly ashamed of having cat that had such bad taste in television programs

Plus we have the ability to be that person in the lives of others and can’t get too attached to the idea of victimhood or, again, we end up weighed down by it all. But functionally that means sometimes I think about some of these people & just have to go “damn.” And then move on

by the time you hit your early 30s you’ll have met basically the worst people alive multiple times over who wrong you in shocking, cosmically horrific ways and you usually just have to find a way to forgive them and move on / accept the lack of closure or your spirit suffers

@noahbradley i am clumsy and precious about protecting my devices, everything has a case or screen protector. but my tablet? never.
