Almost every year stampedes during the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca, particularly at crowded ritual sites like Mina result in people dying from being crushed to death. One of the worst was the 2015 Mina stampede, where hundreds, possibly over a thousand people died.

I love what Sab brings to the team. Don't forget this was his first ever NHL playoff game. Dude is a school of hard knocks guy...he learned his lesson last night...the hit couldn't have been on a better guy and ultimately we won. I don't think that kind of thing happens again the rest of the playoffs from him.

Jon Cooper on Scott Sabourin, who was whistled for interference with 2:15 remaining in regulation with the game tied at 2: “He has a definite role on this team. He finds his way on the scoresheet. It’s just been in different sections of it but the team plays a little bit bigger when he's in the lineup and he knows his role. He's exceptional on the bench and, for 58 minutes, he kind of held it together.” — cue the laughter — “I cannot control everything but I think he was a big part of us having success tonight.”

If I had to pick one live show that had the most important impact on my life it would be that Gabe's Oasis show in Iowa City in 2002. I met James or "Jimmy" as we called him at the time and had the fortune of hanging out with both Celldweller (which included Dale and Kem at the time) and Ashe & co from Autumn's Descent as well as a bunch of the fans just like me after the show. Many of those people I still keep in touch with from time to time today! So I'm very happy Jimmy found that Celldweller album all those years ago because it made such an impact on my life and I know many others that I can't begin to thank him for!

Happy World Record Store Day! 🌍📀 Fun fact: FiXT President James Rhodes first discovered Celldweller in a tiny Christian bookstore, and years later, he and Klay teamed up to build FiXT. 🤘 Get out there and dig through your local record shop bins today, you never know what discovery could change your life. 😉

@newstart_2024 Sure pick any hospital, school, or state run institution where women have taken control of the leadership or oversight departments of the organization and they are all this way still. Super woke and ready to completely destroy your life over hurt feelings.

Helen Andrews dropped a blunt explanation for why wokeness proved so hard to kill: It’s rooted in feminine patterns of conflict — where disagreement isn’t debated, it’s treated as emotional harm that must be punished or silenced. Instead of open argument (like James Damore’s memo at Google), the response became “I can’t believe you said that” followed by attempts to get the person fired. Men tend to argue, resolve, and move on. Women, she argues, are more likely to hold onto grievances. If wokeness is partly a byproduct of rapid feminization of institutions, Andrews warns it won’t simply vanish with one election. It may be structural. She points to overly “HR-ified” workplaces where feminine preferences for emotional safety now dominate promotions, culture, and daily life — often sidelining masculine strengths in the process. Do you think some institutions have become too feminized in ways that suppress open debate and masculine virtues? Or is this framing off-base?

@DefiantLs This video looks like the biker purposely plowed into the truck. He had plenty of time to stop and chose not to. Wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to scam the truck driver into a lawsuit.

Masters of the Universe Teela Actress Camila Mendes Claims Her Character is Deeply Affected by "Toxic Masculinity" "It's hard to talk about Teela without talking about her relationship to her father, because I feel like so much of who she is has to do with how she was, I guess, let down as a kid... And I feel like that really built this outer wall around her that's sort of like shielding this inner sensitivity. She's affected by toxic masculinity just as much as the men in the film. And I think she's sort of adopted masculinity to protect herself in this very masculine world. It's how she survives. She's in survival mode, and has been for a very long time." Article Incoming
