I honestly don't care if he ends up sleeping in a box under the 10th street bridge. What I am upset about is that those who new he was engaging in this conduct enabled him to keep doing it by staying silent. How many women were assaulted after his behavior become an open secret?

I built CourtWatch.us — a free public database for American citizens who deserve safer communities.
You can track which judges released defendants who then got rearrested, skipped court, or violated their release conditions. All public records. All free.
I started with Orange County FL and will be expanding to all 67 Florida counties and eventually every state in the country. This first batch of info is from 2024 and since public reports are released in March/April for the previous year, data is behind. But I wanted to see if this is plausible. After adding 2024,I'll add 2025 and then figure out how to get real-time-data uploaded.

When I was in Congress I used to talk to Staff and reporters on the Hill a lot.
During that time I learned about the activities taking place in the “cages” which are the storage rooms in the basement of the House office buildings.
I reported it to House Admin Chair at the time Brian Steil and he did NOTHING.
But over the course of my time on Capitol Hill I learned a lot of members had Rumors and or allegations against them… now I’m not the sex police and never dug into it but to name a few rumors I heard about when I was there of members engaging in lewd or alleged sexual misconduct like behavior with staff or reporters:

USAID Food Being SOLD in a Street Market
As we were passing through a Haitian street market in the Dominican Republic, we noticed a bag of rice from USAID.
USAID has provided hundreds of millions of dollars in aid to Haiti. We now know that this food is not used to feed the hungry, but is instead sold for profit, at the expense of the US taxpayer.

I still remember the very first semi - reputable story on the current H1B issues after it was declared kryptonite to report on ~2019 or so...

The idea of Alberta independence is only “extreme” if you ignore history.
Norway left Sweden.
Slovakia left Czechoslovakia.
Ireland left the UK.
Borders have changed throughout history.
Alberta independence is not some absurd idea.
It is part of a normal historical pattern.

Spear-always wins fans don't have a good explanation for why the Romans moved away from spear phalanx to manipular tactics. I know why!
Having fought with both, I will definitely take a sword over a spear or polearm in forest country or on ground sufficiently irregular that maintaining a formation isn't practical.

What's the best melee weapon? The answer is unambiguously the spear, which is also one of the cheapest and oldest weapons. Neanderthals used spears.
The answer to the question posed in the image below is that in one-on-one combat, the sharp pole will usually win, but in disciplined mass combat, the long sharp pole can be used to form a pike mass, and then it can beat almost anything. Even the fabled Roman legions lost when facing trained pikemen unless they could break up the pike line, flank them, or otherwise do some kind of workaround.
Lindybeige on YouTube has several videos in which he gets re-enactors to fight with swords against spears. He goes through lots of variations - spears with shields, without shields, swords allowed to flank, or not allowed to flank (trying to simulate an unflankable line), and so forth. Even though his spear-using Brits are usually unfamiliar with their weapon, and his sword-users fairly experienced, the spears win almost all the time.

🚨BREAKING 🚨
The court has issued a stay on the citizens' initiative process, preventing Elections Alberta from counting the vote on the Alberta independence petition.
This was anticipated. As many of us know, many judges in Alberta are appointed by Ottawa and do not serve the interests of Albertans.
However, this decision does not stop the current collection of signatures by Stay Free Alberta and signatures can continue to be collected until May 2nd.
The Independence movement planned for this.
There are still many ways forward. One option is to have a third party validate the signatures and present the results to the Premier to demonstrate the democratic mandate for Albertans to hold a referendum.
This process will not be derailed by activist judges.

There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.
