Zimbabwe’s Attorney General and Chief Government Legal Advisor Mrs Virginia Mabhiza confirmed that President @edmnangagwa ‘s re-assignment of Ms Jessie Majome from the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission to Public Service Commission was legal and complied well with the Constitution. This comes after most lawyers aligned to the opposition including @advocatemahere, @adv_fulcrum argued that the move was unconstitutional & a tribunal had to be set prior her re-assignment to PSC in line with s 237(3) of the Constitution. It’s clear and certain that these opposition linked lawyers failed to interpret these two terms, that is REMOVED and RE-ASSIGNED in legal terms. Reassignment typically entails a change in responsibilities or posting, while removal from office usually implies a more serious action, often arising from gross misconduct or incapacity. President ED therefore acted in tandem with the Constitution of Zimbabwe because he is a Constitutionalist.
