Ross Scott from Accursed Farms testified today in the European Parliament. Members of the European Parliament questioned the group on topics including the illusion of digital ownership, parallels to right-to-repair laws, and the need for clearer information at the point of sale. The European Commission is required to provide a formal response by July 27 2026.

@tabled_salt @C_U271D Be a CoD soldier. Sprint for 2 seconds, get asthma, try to aim down sights but the accuracy is -50% because you just sprinted 2 inches and did not wait the designated 18 seconds for the soldier to use their inhaler so they can have +10% accuracy.

@C_U271D Nobody cared about this stupid meta baselining until Riot Games rotted everyone’s brain into believing every choice has to be a “balanced” option Sprinting is just better. It is just a better version of walking. And that’s ok. Walking still exists for quiet situations

This reminds me of how people would criticize sprint mechanics when they started being added to FPS games. Essentially the argument was that because sprinting is a trade-off that leaves you unable to shoot, it has to actually be worth using - base walking speed has to be nerfed.

If you’ve been to a public high school within the past half-decade you’ll see a phenomenon called “Zoomer hesitation” where kids will refuse to raise their hands and answer questions out of fear of mockery from either teacher or student or both

@Milo_H4 The number of teachers who worked against my education versus those who actually worked to educate is so horribly one sided. Some genuinely wanted to ruin my life and the only thing stopping them was that their only tools were referrals, detention and grading.

I would have panic attacks almost every day from 1st to about 4th grade and my teachers did nothing but tell me I was sensitive. No wonder most guys in my position fucking hate central authority like that

@Rhopunzel @RaymundoTheIII That's what killed my enthusiasm as well. It's also why I make it a point to not dumb down subjects for kids, I just explain it as is and break it down further only as needed. Kids are smart, they just need opportunities to prove it.

@infantannihila8 @ChurchOfMoons I had two grades where there were no issues. First and Twelfth. Everywhere in between was either abuse of authority, physical abuse or outright denying advancement out of spite. With two cases of teachers trying to expel me from the school, with only one succeeding in her effort.

I 100% believe this guy. Teachers really ARE this petty. They would segregate me from the class for being autistic. When I was a kid I got yelled at and suspended for the day because I wanted to use a turquoise coloring pencil instead of blue... Turquoise is a form of blue, lol

It was Halloween day and I was wearing a ninja wrap, and my friends brought up Achmed the Undead Terrorist. She claimed I was an immediate threat to life.

@gettnhigh @GunsNAmerica When I was in school I used to raise my hand to answer questions. I never raised my hand again when a teacher wrote me up and got me stuck in detention for a day because I raised my hand when "they weren't taking answers".
