I bought this 1796 map of Africa for $165 in New York in 2024. It shows the African kingdoms that existed before colonialism. I can’t work out whether Zambia was part of the Jaga or Catango or Monomatapa kingdoms. This is what we should be teaching our kids in school.

@Mike42726245 People need to adapt instead of sit and cry. What does that achieve? If iShowSpeed can get tens of thousands of followers in Zambia it means the power of social media is high. Website. TikTok etc. Zambian voters like to be entertained more than enlightened. Social media is it.

@Mike42726245 Why is that? Campaigning is one thing, setting up the parties and infrastructure is another. Did they do that?

We are 4 years away from 2030, when our SDG progress comes up for review. How are we doing in that regard, ba Zambia?

@JohnTembo1982 Rothschild & Co manages the external debt advisory for many African governments. This renders some African leaders political eunuchs in this matter. Connect the economic and political dots.

@MHopeMK To extract minerals and other resources back to the colonisers. So when I see our leaders perpetuate the status quo I sigh. What we need is an ease of moving from Lusaka to Kinshasa. Why must I fly via Addis?

I visited the Royal Museum for Central Africa near Brussels afew years ago. One of the few things I would fight for is the wall map which shows the Congo, Zambia (part of Rhodesia), Angola was already Angola. Some of the art is frankly questionable and historically inaccurate.

@JohnTembo1982 I don’t understand how you can lecture people about something you caused. She should be apologising.

If I watch the @FIFAcom World Cup this year, I will support my fellow Africans who represent France. The Dembele song is better than the official WC song.

@IanECox Why is the regime in DC so hell bent in destroying the Middle East like they did Latin America?

@SentimentalCook I once told a bar tender at a hotel in Lusaka who tried that move that I sometimes endure second class treatment abroad and will not accept that at home.

On my last visit, we went to a drinking spot opposite Woodlands Police station. When we arrived, the waitresses are just looking at us, but when two white guys walked in, they were literally elbowing each other out of the way to serve them. Needless to say that we left without spending any money at the spot.

The colonial mentality in Zambia—especially in admin offices—is honestly embarrassing. Why the sudden smiles and giggles when a white person walks in, but cold faces for your fellow Zambians? We need to unlearn this. 🇿🇲

Look what God has done for me! I can’t even explain the kind of joy I’m feeling today. Both my daughters have been admitted to CBU. I have nothing but gratitude 🙏

This is the motorcade of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer when heading to his office yesterday - only 3 motorcycles, 2 cars, and 1 police SUV. They all had their function. The UK is a $3.96 trillion economy, while Nigeria is a $252 billion economy, less than 10% of the UK's.✍️

I am just seeing the VIDEO of Remi Tinubu's convoy during her visit to Delta state for a chieftaincy coronation last month. This is crass profligacy. The vain and lavish lifestyle of the Tinubu dynasty is not sustainable for Nigeria! You waste so much but produce nothing!✍️
