I have always liked sitting in the cab for field work . But the faster robots can do jobs like this the better. Like watching paint dry.

@14Ram Big reason we quit selling straw .. and a few other reasons but that’s a big 1

Question for #agtwitter: do you make any agreements with straw buyers to clean up after themselves when baling? I get that stuff happens but a pile of 6 strings doesn’t fall out of the baler without some human assistance. Causes big issues for us planting/striptilling next year

@14Ram @Spray_Guy A wick weeder would take out the tall stuff to reduce the competition. I also have an "In-Rowl crimper" that fits down 30" rows that has knifes on it. Crimping won't kill the alfalfa.

@postlpeter @Spray_Guy Beans are 8” roughly, and alfalfa ranges from just emerging to 14” tall. It’s had a shot of reflex and might get a follow up next week so maybe that would manage it well enough until desiccation. Just hate rolling the dice on edibles, especially when they aren’t our own

Hey #ontag, there’s someone looking to rent a sprayer to kill volunteer alfalfa in white beans. Thinking individually hooded nozzles to spray between 30” rows. Does that exist? Does anyone know of one that could be rented? @Spray_Guy?
