@ZenkaiGoose Xbox definitely conquered my living room and still does. I don't know about you but in the PS2 era it was quality over quantity for me, and Splinter Cell along with plenty of other games were MUCH better quality on the Xbox.

@mark_k Grok is definitely wrong at times. I proved it wrong once and was surprised to see that it doubled checked and admitted it was wrong. That was more impressive to me than it being right more often than not. I've done the same with ChatGPT. They are great to consult with though.

I'm not one to raise panic about AI psychosis, but I've now seen several cases of people treating Grok as an omniscient entity and accepting everything it says without question. One guy was leading his entire life according to Grok's advice. The idea that Grok could be wrong seemed absurd to him. I find this a bit concerning, to be honest.

@MuseumCommodore I've only used one Amiga, and it wasn't mine. I got to play it every day though. Amiga 2000 was pretty amazing. Shadow of the Beast, Dragon's Lair, BaaL all looked fantastic.

@sean_gause I never understood the point in high fov. Sure, you see more around you, but it distorts the camera. Also, with a lower fov objects are bigger on screen and seem closer, much easier to hit your actual targets that are in front of you.

Someone told me my game FOV should be around 110 to be "playable". Here's the current FOV (70) compared to 110. It shrinks and distorts the whole image (including the character). I don't get it. I get maybe 80, or 90... but 110?

@gloomybytes I remember how people blasted me for calling TLOU2 a shitty game but I actually spent 54 hours before finishing it. I appreciated the world and art and wanted to see every corner of it. The artists were definitely the best part of that game development.

@ShovelfighterXT @CabooseEK The gameplay/mechanics are actually what keep me playing the game every single week yet still. I love the slowness, methodical exploration, and NPC interactions. Something as simple as roping NPC/player and hogtying them is infinitely satisfying, and I don't even like that era

@CabooseEK I like videos like this...because it just goes to show how fucking boring RDR2 actually is. It's all Cloth physics and Horse testicles with outdated sluggish gameplay and boring an ancient Rockstar mission structure.

If you were planning on buying Resident Evil 9, you might want to reconsider. You see, the cloth physics don't match up to that of Red Dead Redemption 2, which is disappointing considering that's such an important part of why you'd even buy a game.

@jamescfox Not sure what it is, but I find it interesting that the object is clearly no bigger than a car. Atmospherics, high contrast, the bottom being a dark shadow, suggests it isn't far from the camera and therefore not that big. If it was big and far back, would have much less contrast
