I cant be the only one out here who gets triggered when autocorrect "fixes" a correctly spelled word into what it thinks I mean Specifically I don't know why it believes that I would prefer to write about valves over calves

Part of why Better Than Dead has a female protagonist is because I really love that side of Hong Kong action cinema. There are many films with female leads, even if a lot of them are not very well known outside Asia. BTD is also a small tribute to that tradition.

This whole "Eva" inspiration being backed up by some collective unconscious feelings towards mecha is why Rival's depiction of Peni feels less cool, and more of a projection of how some people needed Eva to help market mecha designs, not allowing for original designs to flourish.
