I have severe diagnosed ADHD and this just sounds like he was irresponsible to me tbh, people overuse the hell out of this excuse. ADHD can heavily impact your life but it doesn’t excuse you of responsibility or accountability.

@aedison I've got adhd as well, but you don't mention if he is medicated, which is a big factor. That aside, I get the feeling that there is more to this story than what he told you.

a friend of mine was the absolute top-performing employee at his job, blew everyone else away, and he was let go because he just *could not* get up in time to be in at 9am. all the early bedtimes, alarm clocks, phone calls and door knocks in the world couldn’t beat his ADHD
