@Grummz This may be the way forward for AAA developers. All I can say is good luck because I wont join that ban wagon. If AA & indie developers follow suit then ill find a new hobby and be content with older games. I treat games likes books or movies not reality TV or sports.

At the State of Unreal today, Tim says AAA is failing, spending 100's of millions and getting only 10's in return. He gives his theories: - Games are social now. "creating a massive advantage for big games and big ecosystems, um, because game with a lot of players is much more likely to contain a lot of your friends. " - Game economy shifting to in-game purchases. "whether you're a fan of this or not, the arithmetic of it is undeniable. " His whole argument is that platforms like Roblox and Fornite are the future: Huge locked in gamer demographics, playing content within these games and buying things in these games. But he contrasts Epic's strategy vs Roblox. Instead of one gatekeeper, Epic wants to "change the way we build things. We're going to need to build better games, we're gonna need to build them more efficiently, and we're gonna need to design up front and build for connected games, where all of our player bases are connected socially and our economies are connected, so that players, instead of seeing these as isolated products, see them as part of, you know, a, a global ecosystem that all game developers participate in together. " To this end, Epic has open sourced Meta-Humans and Lore, their new revision control system. It's clear he want to create a network of games, all linked together, sharing content via Epic tools and technologies (but allowing for other engines).

When I was organising the march, a Muslim lady contacted me to say the same happens to muslim girls in their community, so they encourage their men to go after British girls instead to keep their own daughters safe. She also said, as many marriages are arranged, they dont want to have to "service" (her word) their husbands so encourage them to take British girls. She reassured me by saying, "not nice girls like your daughter though", like that was some sort of comfort. I was so shocked and disgusted I blocked her.

Corpo mismanagement is a real problem and that's all the DEI & LGBT stuff was, a misfire. They took their core audiences for granted & tried to aggressively expand into untapped markets.

The studio outcry for double fine, ninja, and compulsion is a joke. It’s quite literally 66% of people who have never touched any games made by them 30% of people who trashed everything they made for years And 4% of people who actually enjoyed the games. Sony fans crying that ninja should be bought by Sony; hysterical to say the least. You guys tried hellblade since the trailer for it came out, now you’re the holy saviors? All these games have released on ps5 and was supported no more than any other platform if not less. Let’s stop the alligator tears. This is a company restructuring. You have to trim the fat to get to the good stuff. These studios might as well be a form of diabetes

@Beat_Rev @nuhre_ The game isn't shitty. E33 had more word of mouth from the get go, sales isn't always an indicator of video game quality. If that were the case then every call of duty game and roblox must be the best games ever. It wouldn't shock me of people whining about it never played it.

Expedition 33 reportedly cost less than $10 million. South of Midnight allegedly cost around $100 million. That's the kind of comparison that should keep executives awake at night. Because if a smaller team can make one of the most celebrated games of the year with a fraction of the budget, the problem probably isn't that games need more money.

Time and again, the gaming industry choose to ignore what the players actually want. Instead of focusing on giving us great games, companies keep chasing trends that follows an agenda that we gamers REJECT. This are great news overall, because we are protesting with our wallets, and we are winning this fight. The market has spoken once again, and we did it LOUD AND CLEAR.

Grown adults will look at this, clench their fists, and GENUINELY get upset at a little pin that stands for nothing but a positive message. We (usually) live for less than 100 years, minuscule in the grand scheme of the universe. Yet, some people will allow their indoctrinated prejudices to dictate how they feel about something as amazing as love. If you are one of these people, before you go into the replies of this post and hit me with a “GAYYYY” or some cringey Homelander gif, I want you to just think about how irrelevant your existence truly is. How irrelevant MY existence is. And then I want you to really consider whether it’s even remotely worth it to uphold views with such unnecessary hatred. Who are you helping? Is that how you want to spend your very limited life? If so, then you are beyond saving, and if you’re religious then you should educate yourself about the actual values of whatever it is that you believe in (which most likely involves spreading peace and love, not hatred). Happy Pride month. I’ll lose followers for this post but I don’t care. If you’re someone who is as gullible as to allow somebody else to control your own views and opinions (since nobody is born homophobic) then I don’t want you following me anyway.
