Honest founder talk: My baby's been sick every week for the last 3 months. Got 4h of sleep last night. Brain feels like mashed potatoes. 🧠 But startup doesn't stop. Ship or die mentality hits different when you're a parent. Sharing my reality check + what's working for me: 1/ First: it's OK not to be superhuman Many founders talk about 16h workdays and constant grinding. Reality: sometimes life hits hard and you operate at 30% capacity (me today) That's not failure. That's being human. 2/ My survival toolkit as a sleep-deprived founder: • 25min focused sprints (can't do more) • Voice notes instead of writing • Delegating when possible • Afternoon power naps (I struggle with this) • Coffee x5 (sorry, not sorry ☕️) 3/ Best hack I've found: Lower your expectations but keep shipping. Small wins > perfect execution Right now I am navigating on Revid trying to spot the tiny things I can improve. Nothing big. 4/ Parent founders: we're playing life on hard mode But we're also building with purpose, perspective, and a reason to never give up. That's our superpower. 5/ To my fellow parent founders: Drop a 👶 if you're building while dealing with sick kids/sleepless nights Let's support each other. Share your tips below!
