Virtually the whole 20th century fascist body count comes from one regime: the Nazis. In order to inflate fascism’s numbers you need to depart from logic and scholarship and start claiming Japan, China etc were fascist (false!) By contrast, leftwing communism’s far greater body count has MANY major contributors (>1 million deaths): China, the Soviet Union, Cambodia, North Korea, Afghanistan, etc. Then honorable mentions like Vietnam, Ethiopia, Romania etc The higher body count is an artifact of communism’s uniquely deadly and evil nature, which is sometimes minimized and pooh-poohed by its fans online (you) “an extra 65 million? Who’s keepin score?!”

@LM_Entry In evilness there is no difference. Of course higher numbers means more people dead, that's why both are evil. But when you start powerscaling one regime over another in calling them more evil you've lost sight of what is actually important: genocidal regimes are bad.

Reality check: When it actually is time to produce the big movie about the incredible heroic rescue in Iran this weekend, the right still has zero - none - of the capabilities required to produce such a thing and make it a blockbuster, watchable hit. If they do, they're just scattered around, bumping into things aimlessly, occasionally churning out some meh content that makes little impact. Instead, it will be made by people who hate you, hate Trump, and hate the men who pulled this off. They will be the ones who write the checks, acquire the rights, negotiate the deals, hire the screenwriters, cast the actors, make the costumes, direct it, act in it, edit it, market it, and distribute it. There may be a few undercover friendlies in the mix but this will be 100% a production of our enemies. If Tom Cruise, say, or Mel Gibson, for example, produced such a thing, great, but the rest of the operation would still be solidly Hollyweird. It would actually be so easy to found a real studio. A movie studio that's not a political podcast studio LARPing as a movie studio. The hour is so late. Where is this already?
