Canadians who go through the local K-12 system would likely be required to take a social studies course to develop identity and understand citizenship. Yes IRCC does have a citizenship test but it is just a bunch of multiple choice questions. The least we should do is to have education that facilitates integration.

Just as Irish or Italian immigrants that moved to America became American but they became a new kind. Irish American or Italian American.
