Providence citizens are demanding Mayor Brett Smiley’s removal, after he ordered the painting of murderers Ukrainian immigrant, Iryna Zarutska, to be covered up. Smiley says the mural of the young woman doesn't represent their values. Here's the truth - Democrats don't want the painting to start a conversation. "Who's that?" "What happened to her?" Because then it would open up the story about this young woman who was riding home on a bus, who had escaped war and oppression in her own country and came to America for peace and opportunity - only to be murdered in broad daylight by a violent criminal who should have been behind bars, but was allowed to roam free, over and over and over again due to the decisions of liberal activist judges who don't believe in punishing people who aren't white, no matter how dangerous they are. That's what the Democrats don't want people talking about. Because Iryna's story is a blatant example of exactly what their values are - protect criminals over law-abiding Americans. Especially women.

If you’re going to make comments on a subject, educate yourself first. This was a project to shine light on failed immigration policies that have caused harm within the US. I fully support it, as I had a family member killed by an illegal drunk driving.Do Better, Buddy.

A 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who fled war, only to be murdered on a train by a repeat criminal offender — and now her memorial is being erased because a politician found it uncomfortable.
This is what socialism looks like.
Government officials using their power to decide what art is acceptable, whose memory is worth keeping, and whose story gets told.
I’m tired of socialist politicians deciding whose lives are worth remembering.
Iryna deserved better in Charlotte. She deserves better in Providence.
I stand for the memory of Iryna Zarutska. I stand with the artist. I stand with the property owner. And I stand for every Rhode Islander’s right to free expression — without government officials using their power to silence it.
