We’ve received replies (finally) from @hmrcgovuk to our two letters. In both cases HMRC fail to answer questions asked & continue to evade scrutiny. In one case we pointed out their FOI response failed to answer questions. So what do they do? Cut & paste the same FOI response!!

We had to wait on eggshells on how our fate would be decided - first over an election and then to finally have it sneakily published without discussion as a done deal just before Xmas!! I'm livid!

I would urge all MPs to support NC31. It does NOT clear historical tax debts. It LETS HMRC exercise their full range of administrative powers (enquiries/assessments) to challenge loan schemes provided (as they mostly did) HMRC took timely action under Taxes Management Act 1970.
