This is going to happen across most AI applications and content. When someone will watch an AI generated video promoting a product and making false claims, or worse... someone will watch an AI generated video and do something really stupid, they WILL regulate it and put back stops to what's allowed and what's not.

@Codie_Sanchez It's just a matter of time. Either FTC or Meta, Google, etc. will start scanning and when detects AI will either reject the content or put a disclaimer up.

to all those that want shortcuts - you've missed the point. The point is that it's supposed to be hard. it's supposed to suck. If everything was easy, then it wouldn't have any value. just do hard things. embrace pain.

@Shwinnabego cnn.com/2021/02/01/suc… That's right. Just like in 2020/2021 no one leaved for TX, TN and NY because of bad policies. I did - and never came back to NYC even though I loved the city.

@mattepstein I would agree on this - I also think there will be much more rejection from people than they think - good luck selling these outside of SF

@blvckledge Apple vs Blackberry History always repeats itself. This is not a tech issue - it a user behavior problem. I haven't googled in months - and only do it if necessary. Not because i hate it but the behavior changed and thats why Google is in trouble.

everyone’s hyped about atlas…. atlas literally runs on chromium (chromium’s the open-source browser engine that google built, basically the skeleton of google chrome) so when something “runs on chromium,” it still uses google’s core code, rendering engine, and update pipeline. so openai just built their “browser” on top of google’s foundation yes atlas looks clean asf but this is still google’s race to lose they own the ecosystem (browser, search, and habits)

Anybody with an IQ above 12 generally does their own research on a business before you buy. Generally before you even book a call at all However, the retards from cold traffic seem to just not even compute this possibility at all

@thedanielokon Yep! I've seen this too - just dumping creatives into one ad set across multiple formats and styles but within the same avatar and performance has improved.

We did a test and we didn't turn off any of our ads after we adjusted our structure to a more consolidated CBO based avatar ad set structure. The results? 70% increase in NC-ROAS. Only adjustments have been increasing budget + adding more creative to the ad sets.

The question is: what happens when EVERYONE runs the SAME AI generated ads? You cannot fake raw, organic human emotions / content. Definitely exciting what AI can do but I am more bullish on REAL content vs AI generated. Consumers are going to build a muscle and recognize it within a second and skip next.

Personal branding is a scam. You spend 3-5 months “building an audience” to see ROI. Run ads instead. $5k in, $20k out. No quicker way to scale.

Respect to Nick but if I ever wanted to compete with somewhere I would do the exact opposite and hire in-person ONLY executives, US based. Outsource everything else overseas. My opinion and experience, could be wrong, he is gonna get his ass kicked in the next 5 years by a competitor that will do that.

some inside baseball here: Nick bought a majority stake in Somewhere (~$52M price), but there was one problem. The entire exec team was US based. They were good, but very expensive. Huge salary overhang. He went in, re-built the exec team with only overseas talent (listen to them in the video). since then - revenue is at all time highs, and profit margin strong because exec team expenses reduced 80% huge win.
Nick Huber@sweatystartup

People think a worldwide team = $4 / hr assistants who can barely speak english. THEY COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG. I am building executive teams for 80% cheaper than hiring Americans. Sales Director. COO. Developers. Operations Managers. Head of Finance. The world is your oyster.
