Photography History: Before Color Film An intriguing exhibition at Zurich’s Museum Rietberg shows how color once turned documentation into interpretation... In the late 19th century, photographs gained color by hand: Images from Africa traveled to Europe and back to be tinted; in Japan, photographers like Kusakabe Kimbei painted directly onto albumen prints with painterly care. Where the camera ended, imagination began — the painter's freedom.

@_andede @KunsthausZurich awesome questions ! Usually my Self I dont care about the past history of my collectors. my duty is to create art and share it with the world . who likes them can have them. in the end the art is the important element for me .

Provenance & Collectors: Reflections from my Kunsthaus Zürich visit Emil Bührle (1890–1956) = dark history + prestigious art. His collection at @KunsthausZurich = beauty + burden. Compared to NFTs, provenance research in the traditional art world is complex and often contested. Kunsthaus Zürich’s strategy for the Bührle Collection: 5-year research project, removal of controversial works, restitution discussions. Yet two deeper questions lingered after my visit: 1. Does knowing a collector’s history change your perception—or feeling—of the art itself? 2. Would you display a prestigious art collection from a collector with a dark past—or refuse?

You know what is truly rare in NFTs and web3? A human being like @baiweiart . His kindness, care, compassion and love is sincere and makes you feel like you’re talking to a real friend, not just another internet person. I felt this before mostly in $ash community with people like @pixel_jindo @AmyJSmith__ @DolAtoR @ledgerdust @CorsicanEmperor @808NFT808 and @_andede Maybe I didn’t collect enough art or didn’t made a good amount of eth but one thing is sure. I “collected” great friendships. They are my biggest gain in this space. I don’t know how they do it but whenever I feel down and lose my voice & belief one of them shows up and changes the tone of my feelings. I’m forever grateful to be surrounded with these amazing people🫶
