The continued normalization of international terrorism and murder by the West is arguably the biggest blow to humanity as a whole in centuries. Killing of journalists, banning the press from war zones, prosecuting citizens for posting war crimes, banning opposition voices on social media, assassinating scientists, political leaders, and even political analysts and experts for exposing their lies and hypocrisies. Nothing about this dystopian nightmare is normal. Nothing about this will be tolerated for much longer. The world is finally waking up. Having said that: Prof. Marandi is not hiding, and he is definitely not afraid of you terrorists. No one in Iran is.

I never fully subscribed to the “hire slow, fire fast” mindset that gained popularity a decade ago. I understand the logic—it’s not a bad framework—but it never aligned with my principles. Over time, I’ve learned to hire more deliberately (sometimes). But firing? That still takes a lot. I’ll support an exec if it’s clearly the right call—especially when it’s creating real strain. As I often say: we shouldn’t spend 80% of our time on the 20% who don’t want to be here. That said, there’s another side to this—and it’s not just altruism. About a decade ago, I hired “Jack” to lead a new initiative—Kruger Industries. It didn’t click. It didn’t go anywhere (through no fault of his). In most organizations, that’s where the story ends: “tough news… and here’s a company mug.” But what I saw in Jack was work ethic, adaptability, and range. In 2022, during a difficult period for me personally, he said something that stuck: “I’ve never worked anywhere where people actually keep their word.” That mattered more than he probably realized. So instead of cutting bait, we kept going. Like I’ve done with others (sometimes to a fault), we moved him across projects until we found the right fit: the Festivus Catering Division. Today, it’s a real growth engine—with plenty of people eager to take credit (a good problem to have). And here’s the kicker: after going back to the drawing board and fixing what we got wrong, Kruger Industries is now taking off like the phoenix I always believed it could be. Jack didn’t change. The platform did. As leaders, our job is to help people become the best version of themselves. Jack Welch talked about “platform and runway.” My version: our Jack had the runway—he just needed the right platform. Watching that evolution has been remarkable. In 1, 3, or 5 years, he’ll be the leader I always knew he could become. But he could just as easily have been lost to what I’ll call corporate orthodoxy—the “hire slow, fire fast” variety. In 2022, when ZIRP pulled ad spend back and our revenues dropped, my board (rightfully) asked whether we should consider layoffs. Jack would have been on any rational list at the time (because of Krueger's lack of traction). We didn’t do it. And I’m glad we trusted that instinct. Yes, sometimes organizations go too far and try people in too many roles. But the bigger risk is the opposite: putting people in a box based on where they started—or judging them based on a mismatch between their platform and their potential. As we continue to grow, this is a lesson I keep reinforcing: Don’t limit people too early. Don’t confuse a bad fit with lack of ability. The upside of getting it right is far greater than the cost of being wrong once or twice.

Jumping to conclusions, I am anti war, always for peace and diplomacy, but the regime is not a normal entity. Also, you seem to be supportive of groups, governments and ideologies that have death and destruction as their modus operandi. The entire stretch of land from Morocco to Malaysia was conquered with love letters? Get over yourself, you jihadi supporter. Iran is getting rid of this cancer whether your terrorist-loving heart likes it or not. Stick so soccer, you clearly are a hypocrite who is rather selective about when violence is fine. Iranians call the IDF - whom I criticized in Gaza - the Iranian Liberation Army, but yes, to palestinian terrorist supporters, this is bad news as you need to find a new ATM card.

@ashkan This was also a tragic incident, right? 20 Iranian volleyball players killed in U.S.-Israeli attacks because they decided to bomb a sports hall. People deserve freedom and dignity but not at the cost of their lives. Bombing civilians is never liberation. You’re sick.

Notice how mainstream media moved on from the Iranian women’s team the moment many chose to return home and turned down asylum. The story only mattered when it fit the narrative.

I don’t condone bad behavior but let me be blunt: anything is better than the Islamic regime. All cohorts have more extreme and unhinged supporters. And I kinda understand the monarchists (I’m not a monarchist by default, as an entrepreneur you can imagine heredity based systems aren’t my thing) frustration after 47 years of occupation by an Islamist death cult that can’t provide water electricity but whose only answer is death and destruction. The IR is peak colonialism. Free Lebanon from Hezbollah, free Palestine from Hamas, and free Iran from the Islamic republic. This is why most Iranians encourage @IDF and @SecWar to Eliminate every Mullah and IRGC. Death is their only mindset, and killing Iranians is the only way they think they can retain power. There is no other value or ideology they have to offer. After 47 years, the only real impressive output is missiles and drones. No electricity or water for the people. Just means of destruction.

Just to kill Larijani at his daughter's house, the Epstein Syndicate bombed AN ENTIRE RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD near Teheran. At least one hundred CIVILIANS were murdered with him. Yesterday on the beach in San Diego the USA army was conducting some training. I was walking alongside minding my own business. At the end, I asked one of the soldiers a basic question re the island I’m on, we chatted briefly and when I told him I was Iranian Canadian, he asked for my thoughts on the war. I said my focus is on trying to relay how Iranians inside Iran feel, not the 20% who support the regime, but the 80% who don’t, have been oppressed for 47 years. I explained how Iran =\ Iraq, Libya, Syria and how much Iranians love America and view this as a liberation and rescue mission. I said with all due respect I admire all soldiers for their courage but am generally always focused on peace and diplomacy but wanted to thank them on behalf of 80M people who unlike me don’t have the same freedoms and liberties. I could’ve just shared them this post below. Imagine being bombarded and your priority is to kill your young men and women. The Islamic republic is an illegitimate terrorist oppressor and occupying rogue entity. 80% of Iranians inside Iran and 99% of those outside wholeheartedly and unequivocally support @SecWar & @idf and this is why we call them the Iranian Liberation Army. The only traitors are those who stand by and support this killing machine that has demonstrated that it will kill as many Iranians as possible and needed to stay in power.

Hossein Dehghan is a protege of Ali Shamkhani. Dehghan played a role in the seizure of the U.S. embassy in 1979; was also the commander of the IRGC forces in Lebanon and Syria in 1983, which coincided with #Hezbollah's bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241 U.S. service personnel; was commander of the IRGC's then Air Force; deputy chief of the IRGC’s Joint Staff; head of the IRGC's Cooperative Foundation; deputy defense minister under Ali Shamkhani and later defense minister. Dehghan is one of those figures with cross-factional experience: served during the Khatami and Rouhani administrations but also as vice president and head of the Martyrs Foundation during the Ahmadinejad administration. He's a different figure from the hardline Saeed Jalili whom many expected to appointed given Dehghan's cross-factional experience.
