After spending days spreading antisemitic conspiracy theories about the Hatzola arson implying it was an Israeli false flag, virulent antisemite and Hezbollah cheerleader @PhilipProudfoot has decided to stop commenting on the issue following the naming of the suspects.

@BenJamalpsc The conclusion I draw is that the judge felt nothing but embarrassment for your infantile cos playing.

Something that might seem trivial but tells a story was the Judge's refusal whenever he addressed Chris and me to look us in the eye, including when delivering the sentences. People can draw their own conclusions from his actions.

Its been a busy couple of days dealing with the aftermath of the verdicts against Chris Nineham and me. First of all a huge thankyou to the mass of people who have been in touch to share love and solidarity and their sense of outrage at the judgement. Some reflections:

3 days now since 2 men were arrested for the Golders Green ambulance attack - 2 days since they were released on bail. Media silence is deafening. I think we can be pretty sure if they were called Mohamed and Iqbal their names would have been leaked by now.
Moshe Schwartz@YWNReporter

🚨🚨 BREAKING: Multiple Hatzolah ambulances have erupted in flames in London's Golders Green neighborhood. There is no immediate word on the cause, but antisemitic arson is the immediate suspicion.

I’m sure no one needs to learn that allowing military personnel to carry personal weapons on domestic bases while sacking inconvenient senior military officers tends, historically, to mean exactly one thing

Something people don't talk about so much these days is that in post-WW2 America, people took Freudian psychoanalysis very seriously for some reason.

Having grown up in south London, I can give you a 1000 reasons why I became a conservative and this is one of them. The fact that we have allowed American ghetto culture to dominate the lives of inner city black youth, and not talk about it —because it’s not “progressive” or “proper” to do so — is leading us nowhere. Yes, some may weaponise it into racial hatred, but without facing the issue and a proper diagnosis, there will be no solution.
Ike Ijeh@ikeijeh

This is not a black problem, children do not generally behave like this in Ethiopia. However, it would be foolish to ignore the fact that the majority of youths in Clapham's disorder seem to be black. If we're too afraid to ask why this started, we'll never find out how it stops.

A cutting reflection from Cardinal Ratzinger, Good Friday 2005: "Pilate is not utterly evil. He knows that the condemned man is innocent, and he looks for a way to free him. But his heart is divided. And in the end he lets his own position, his own self-interest, prevail over what is right. Nor are the men who are shouting and demanding the death of Jesus utterly evil. Many of them, on the day of Pentecost, will feel "cut to the heart," when Peter will say to them: "Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God... you crucified and killed by the hands of those outside the law." But at that moment they are caught up in the crowd. They are shouting because everyone else is shouting, and they are shouting the same thing that everyone else is shouting. And in this way, justice is trampled underfoot by weakness, cowardice and fear of the diktat of the ruling mindset. The quiet voice of conscience is drowned out by the cries of the crowd. Evil draws its power from indecision and concern for what other people think."
