Gold markets are rewriting history: Assets under management (AUM) in the largest US gold-backed ETF, $GLD, are up to $181 billion, near the highest on record. The AUM in $GLD has DOUBLED in less than a year. Over the last 8 years, the value of the fund’s assets has surged +503%. Furthermore, gold holdings in $GLD are up to 1,098 tonnes, the highest since April 2022 and the 2nd-highest since February 2021. Gold holdings have increased +274 tonnes since March 2024. By comparison, the all-time high set in December 2012 was 1,351 tonnes. Demand for gold investments is still unprecedented.

My 5 Rules once I get out of this $BTC $MSTR mess after getting Skinned Alive from being way too Degen: 1. Must only buy $BTC $MSTR in the pits of the Bear or drip in buys during extreme fear/oversold times, always below the 200 SMA. 2. Will stay Disciplined & drip out in the Bull & super bullish/overbought times, especially as it gets more above the 200 SMA. Taking profits is never a bad thing. Getting Slaughtered is. 3. Never hold more than 1 Call option to scratch the Degen Itch. Basically always sell them. 4. Very small leverage that I can only open in the pits of the Bear… With an 86% Liquidation LTV the highest I can do is 20% LTV… Everyone got liquidated with a 50% LTV or were forced into doing sh*t they really didn’t want to do (ex. Rolling in cold storage, selling at horrible times, etc.) 5. Stay Disciplined… I used to bash piddly returns. I now respect the F out of them… If it doesn’t make extreme sense to buy $BTC $MSTR, use excess $ to build my $STRC & $USDC Reserves. Getting ~11% STRC divs & ~3.5% USDC interest is much better than allowing MM’s to skin me alive.

Yesterday was clearly a blood-in-the-streets day for Bitcoin. We saw a $10,000+ daily devil's candle close and had people calling for $10,000 to $30,000 Bitcoin. All the bears came out of hibernation. I thought the bottom would be between $75,000 and $80,000, and I was wrong. But I'd rather be the guy who called the bottom a bit prematurely than be one of the many guys calling for $10,000 to $40,000 and have the actual bottom be $60,000.
