@jrnaib2 2027 result will shock many. It is either self-deceit or political novice will make you compare PBAT & PGEJ. In a political chess-game, both are miles apart. In 2015, heavy-weight like Atiku, Saraki, Tambuwal, Govs (nPDP), part of APGA were moving OUT but APC harvesting more now

1. Ahead of the 2015 elections, GEJ brought Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau into the PDP, where he suffered a woeful defeat. 2. Yesterday, President Bola Tinubu sealed a deal with Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau to join the APC. 3. Another clear sign that President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 elections woefully.

@thekanoblog @jrnaib2 The votes he polled at 2023 Senatorial Election is far more than votes Edo/Anambra Govs polled to win their elections. He polled polled 456,787 votes to defeat the APC Zaura 168, 677 votes. And mind you PBAT is not PGEJ & 2015 is not 2027. Many will be shocked at 2027 result.

@egi_nupe ADC & media stunt. A man went to court since Sept 2025 (7 months ago) & it is today you issuing ultimatum. Why can't these youth call their leaders out? Ask them what were they doing for 7 months? No defence in court, no settlement out of court, just tweeting & tweeting.

@TheoAbuAgada ADC & media stunt are 1 & 2. As a ruling party APC was not included on ballot in Rives 2019. APC lost all seats won in Zamfara due to similar internal dispute & court cases. Prof Mamod seat wasn't threatened even APC as sitting govt. ADC should organize & settle out of court.

@BolajiADC @inecnigeria Oga Bolaji, this media stunt won't save ADC. Tweet as many times as possible, it won't remove numerous court cases. If you continue at this rate, May 30th will be here & it would be a sorry state for ADC. Gather in one room, ask unifier to act his name & settle out of courts.

ADC Raises Alarm Over INEC Landmines - Plot to Prevent Party From Fielding Candidates We are compelled to raise serious concerns about a developing situation that appears designed to prevent the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from fielding candidates in the upcoming elections. It is based on documentary evidence which we are now placing before the Nigerian public, including certified INEC records, attendance logs, monitoring reports, and excerpts from the Commission’s own sworn affidavit. Taken together, these documents establish a clear and consistent record of events. View the records here: bit.ly/NafiuGombeCase INEC received formal notice of the July 29, 2025 National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the ADC. It deployed officials to monitor that meeting. It documented the proceedings and received formal reports from its field officers. Following this, INEC updated its internal records and uploaded the names of the new leadership, including Senator David Mark as National Chairman and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary. These are not claims. They are facts contained in INEC’s own records. In addition, the Commission’s sworn affidavit before the Federal High Court, in its response to Nafiu Bala Gombe on 12 September 2025, particularly in Clauses 14 to 19, affirms key legal principles: that the leadership transition had already been completed and recognized, that such internal party matters fall outside the scope of judicial interference, that completed acts cannot be reversed by injunction, and also recognizes the David Mark-led NWC. Yet, despite this clear documentary trail, INEC has now taken the position that it will no longer receive any correspondence from the ADC pending the determination of a matter before the Federal High Court. This is where the contradiction becomes dangerous. The Electoral Act imposes strict timelines on political parties, including the 21-day notice requirement and submission deadlines. INEC itself has fixed May 10 as the deadline for the submission of relevant documents. However, by refusing to receive communication from the ADC within this same period, the Commission is effectively preventing the Party from complying with the law. In simple terms, INEC is effectively threatening that unless the courts deliver judgment on the ADC leadership issue by May 10, it will prevent the ADC from producing candidates. This places the ADC in an impossible position and creates a clear pathway to artificial non-compliance, which can then be used to justify excluding the Party from fielding candidates. That is the landmine. INEC has claimed that its April 1 decision was taken to avoid rendering the proceedings before the Federal High Court nugatory. The reality is the opposite. By intervening in a matter already before the court and issuing a pronouncement with clear legal and operational consequences, the Commission has itself undermined the very process it claims to protect. What is even more concerning is that this position contradicts INEC’s own prior conduct and legal stance. The same Commission that monitored, documented, recognized, and swore to an affidavit confirming the ADC leadership is now acting in a way that contradicts its earlier position. We therefore call on the Commission to immediately reverse this position, resume the acceptance of all lawful correspondence from the ADC, and uphold its constitutional responsibility to ensure a level playing field for all political parties. We also call on Nigerians to be wary and remain vigilant about these dangerous machinations to subvert Nigeria’s democracy and impose a civilian dictatorship on the country.

I expected you to state, with precision, the specific law the INEC Chairman violated. You are an academic. A man of intellectual repute. You bear the obligation to rise above the noise. Men of your standing should not descend into the crowded marketplace of rumour peddlers, agenda merchants, and buck-passing politicians who, having failed at the basic art of coordination, run foul of the law and then cast the blame elsewhere like men unburdened by conscience. The man who brings the problem must also bring the solution, not the excuse.

My response to Peter Obi’s media people: I wonder why all these incompetent politicians are turning President Bola Tinubu into their favourite whipping boy. The President has nothing to do with Obi’s abandonment of the Labour Party or the jam he appears to have run into in the ADC. After using the Labour Party to vie for the highest office in the country, Obi dumped it in a classic case of use-and-dump. He failed to demonstrate leadership in resolving the party's crisis. Instead, he went to the embrace of his IPOB base, the so-called Obidient movement, which is more active online. You would think the man would transform the movement into a political party. But no, he didn't do any such thing. He is just incapable of building an organic party of his own. Because he knows he needs a political structure to realise his doomed dream of winning the presidency, he shopped for a cooked soup to partake in the ensuing party. The peripatetic politician moved to the hijacked ADC, an SPV bought by Atiku Abubakar from Ralph Nwosu. No due diligence appeared to have been conducted by the new owners, and thus, the nightmare they are confronting today. What is the connection of Tinubu with the ADC crisis? Absolutely none. Whatever problem they have is self-inflicted. Obi and his co-travellers need to get their acts together, clear the mess in their new party and then compete for the presidential ticket. Let them go and settle with Nafiu Gombe and other disenchanted ADC members. As of now, Obi, without being made a candidate, is inconsequential for 2027. The fact that he came third in 2023 does not mean he will have the same showing in 2027, if he ever becomes a candidate of any party. 2023 is not like 2027. President Tinubu is an incumbent with many achievements to flaunt, most of which Obi has been blind to acknowledge. First things first. Let the man become a candidate first. All this blackmail against the President is sheer baloney, a very unfair attempt to besmirch his democratic credentials.

Sen. Abbo Ishaku on the Adamawa ADC Problem "My own ADC Chairman said he wants to chase Hajiya A’ishatu Dahiru Binani out of ADC. Now that we are going for congresses, they bought one form each in Abuja and wanted to lock it down, so that nobody would buy the forms again except their own people. "But Binani was smart enough. She bought the same forms for all her Ward Chairmen, Secretaries, LGAs, and even our State Chairman. And I too, I bought the same forms for my own structure."

I can’t resist the urge to weigh in here, given my vow before God and man to always be there to save my dear brother @ruffydfire from his self-inflicted journalistic shortcomings. What I’m about to explain is publicly available material on Google: These are not different approvals. It’s merely different stages of the same process/program. The FGN has always made it very clear that the 4 Trillion Naira approval was not final. See this news, from July 2025: ‘The figure remains subject to downward revision, pending final validation. “While there is an anticipatory approval of this ₦4 trillion bond programme, it is subject to negotiations and final settlement of agreements. Only the amounts that the federal government validly owes are the things that will make it into the [bond] issuance…”’ Link here, via @vanguardngrnews: vanguardngr.com/2025/07/tinubu… What’s different now / what has changed since then is that, according to @NigeriaGov, those audits and negotiations have now been done and a final settlement of 3.3 trillion reached. And GenCos have started signing settlement agreements. And that’s not all, a first bond has been raised (see @ARISEtv reporting from January 2026), and payments have now finally started to Gencos and Gascos—which is what yesterday’s @NGRPresident statement was all about. Will never tire of telling my dear Rufai that social media energy shouldn’t just be for commenting/trolling, it should also be for research, otherwise one risks descending from journalism to jejune-alism. You have a right to disagree with any policy, and critique it, but this right shouldn’t be based on or fueled by ignorance or by an unwillingness to do basic research. PS. And you should take time to read AriseTV news from time to time. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
