For most of history, a story could only ever be words on a page. Turning one into a film took a studio, a crew, and a year. We made this from a short story in a single workflow on PAI wtih @UtopaiStudios.

I plugged Fable 5 into my director agent and made this film. It shows two futures. In one, everyone gets the same powerful tools and kids invent freely. In the other, AI owns us and humans just feed it data. That future is being decided right now.

Today I'm publishing a new essay, Policy on the AI Exponential. AI is progressing extremely fast—much faster than the policy process was built to handle. The essay lays out where I think the technology is now, and the action needed to close the gap: darioamodei.com/post/policy-on…

Anyone posting comments like this is actively manifesting a horrible future. you’re not useless. You will always be valued by the ideas you bring to the world Comments like these come from a deep rooted insecurity that one day you will stop having good ideas Soulmaxx.

Bro, I'm so fucking tired of this AI shit. You pour 8–10 years into mastering a craft late nights, brutal feedback, real scars from real failures. Then some model trained on millions of stolen data (including yours) spits out better work in 4 seconds flat. And the replies? "This is amazing Future is here" We're not progressing. We're enthusiastically building the machine that makes our entire skillset worthless and calling it innovation.

The traditional world is merging with the new generation. 2 weeks ago we brought the producer of Pulp fiction in a room to introduce him to the future of film. Happy to see Black Forest Labs is following our lead.
Black Forest Labs@bfl_ai

Martin Scorsese is an advisor to Black Forest Labs. He's spent six decades shaping how the world sees stories. Now he's helping us shape visual intelligence with human taste and craft at the center. We sat down with him for a working storyboarding session using FLUX.

In today's AI show on @rumblevideo we broke down the unethical ways people are using AI to make money right now. Dropshippers found a new play: 100M views in a week using fake characters to sell product. One account did 50M views in 7 days. Here's exactly how:

This is bad. 1. AI is here to allow anyone to create anything. Also Jorge should be able to do that. 2. Your decision to back out is very bad for the space. This decision is giving power to people that consume themselves in negativity. They feed themselves on creating space between humans and bring other people down for their own decisions. The technical revolution IS happening and we should work together, embrace the tools and create channels that are PRO HUMAN. If we’re not going to use these tools, incorporations are going to use it and flood us with mindless slop. THEY WILL USE IT. @mexopolis brother - let’s talk about this. Think for a second. Think with your brain. I will be live on @rumblevideo today for the first time. I will use my channel to talk about human creativity and AI’s influence. I invite AI haters, pro AI, film makers, painters, builders, magicians, musicians and anyone with a story to come and be.

I have decided to drop out of the AI program at Amazon. I will not be making a Punky Duck series. Actions speak louder than words. My intent was to showcase artists, both new and seasoned, both inside and outside the studios, driving this new tech. My sincerest apology to those I upset. I promise to do better moving forward. Thank you for your patience with me. I will try harder.

The only cool thing about “obsession” and the backrooms is the fact it’s made by young people. They build an audience and got the opportunity to make a film. On the other hand, these films are not adding anything to society. It merely serves as a distraction. It’s content that’s supposed to keep us busy for weeks. Now, we’re spending hours discussing if Kane Parsons actually wrote the movie or if someone helped him. This shows exactly why AI is going to be important. Traditionally we have to make dopamine horror movies to get accepted and/or make money. While the main focus should always be raising the next generation to be better than us. AI is going to allow people to make films about religion, values, decision making, family, love, relationships, and friendships. Films that do not have an agenda or motives. ARQ is focussed on developing these films. Films that spark curiosity and conversation. Films that bring people closer together.
