Dylan Tombides was just 17 when he made his debut for West Ham. A natural goalscorer with the world at his feet. In 2011, routine drug tests at the Under-17 World Cup revealed he had testicular cancer. Dylan kept training, kept smiling, kept fighting. He wore the West Ham shirt with pride while undergoing chemotherapy. His family later said he never complained — not once. In April 2014, Dylan passed away aged just 20. West Ham retired his number 38 shirt. His foundation continues to raise awareness and save lives. He never scored a Premier League goal, but he left something far bigger behind. Courage, strength, and an unforgettable smile. Rest in peace, Dylan.

Heartbroken four-year-old Maisie Willis had her birthday party ruined by two balaclava-wearing teenagers who stole and smashed her beloved egg stall. The little girl from Holbury near Southampton proudly sells eggs from her own chickens on a wooden stand outside her home and doesn’t even keep the money for herself. During her fourth birthday party two lads in balaclavas walked straight into the garden, grabbed the stand, smashed it to pieces and hurled the eggs all over the road. Maisie kept asking her mum “how am I going to sell my eggs now?” while the family tried to comfort her. Her devastated mother Chelsea said: “She works really hard… I can’t understand why two boys would want to destroy everything she has worked for.” The teens have now been tracked down and made to apologise but Maisie remains deeply upset and the family have had to put a simple basket on the doorstep instead. 'We were having her birthday party and these boys ruined it.' They also thanked sympathetic neighbours who gave Maisie extra birthday presents including cards and cash, saying 'it means so much to her to have so many people care'.

Teacher Jamie Varley, 37, told a colleague he had “dark thoughts” of drowning or suffocating the 13-month-old baby he was adopting, court heard. The head of year at a Blackpool secondary school is accused of sexually abusing little Preston Davey then smothering him to death by blocking his airways. Prosecutors say Varley filmed the baby struggling to breathe with blue lips on Snapchat instead of helping him, while messaging about selling a kayak. Preston had multiple injuries including a broken elbow, bruises and signs of repeated airway obstruction. Varley claimed the baby drowned in the bath but the infant was dry with no water in his lungs. Varley and partner John McGowan-Fazakerley, 32, deny murder and sexual abuse charges. Trial continues at Preston Crown Court.

Baby Preston was murdered, He was beaten, sexually assaulted and suffocated by the two men who were adopting him - suffering 40 brutal injuries, including slaps, forceful grips, a fractured elbow, internal trauma, and ultimately death from a blocked airway. Former teacher Jamie Varley, 37, and his partner John McGowan-Fazakerley, 32, are accused of subjecting the healthy toddler to months of torture: physical violence, cruelty, sleep deprivation, and repeated sexual abuse. Prosecutors say Varley even filmed the dying baby with blue lips instead of calling for help, and made indecent images and videos of the naked child as "mementos." The system handed this innocent baby to monsters!

Incident in Bolton yesterday where a man walks into a shop and stabs the person sat down. The person who gets stabbed reacts quickly in self defence. In the end the attacker just sits down like nothing has happened.
